Burnout Survivor of more than 20 Years, helping you find your Way back to Relaxation and Peace of Mind. Welcome to Turn up the Frequency, your information center for raising the vibration of the body to heal with Sound. My name is Natascha Polomski, or Tascha for short, and I will be your guide through the fantastic exploration of sound, vibration, frequency, and awareness for your self-care and w

ell-being. On this page, you will find information about Sound balances, Singing Bowls, Energy Healing, Research, Techniques, Tools and more. Welcome to the incredible world of Vibration and Sound, Turn up the Frequency is your go-to-page for Healing with Sound. Natascha’s Expertise with Sound:

Natascha’s journey into healing began from the time with her parents and her first steps. Her father was a veterinarian and his kids always hung out at his practice. They would assist with the animals and help with whatever they could. After a business degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany, Natascha returned to healing work in 2004 when she expanded her skills with Ayurvedic studies with Seva Academy in Munich, Germany. She received certifications as both an Ayurvedic Wellness Therapist and an Ayurvedic Beautician. These skills allow Natascha the opportunity to do healing work with clients. It was during these studies that Natascha’s biggest passion was discovered, the power of the Tibetan Singing Bowls. Pursuing this interest, Nastascha continued her training in 2005 with intensive training as a Sound Therapist with Einklang Institute in Bobingen, Germany. She developed her skill with Klangmassage using the Singing Bowls, Overtone Singing, Drumming, Guided Meditations and Taketina (a musical, meditative group process). After immigrating to Canada in 2006, Natascha continued her training in 2008 with Therapeutic Touch. By 2010 she was the inspiration for the beginning of the Therapeutic Touch Practice Group in Port Hawkesbury. Her efforts have produced quality, bimonthly practice sessions with support for many students and clients to experience TT for free. At present Natascha is completing her Practitioner status in pursuit of becoming an Instructor for Therapeutic Touch, she is also a presenter for conferences in TT. To better understand the body and how the muscles and meridians influence each other, Natascha began her training in Touch for Health in 2013. A Practitioner Member with CanBeWell (Canadian Association of BioEnergetic Wellness), she completed her Level 4 qualifications and incorporated the gained knowledge into her own work. In the fall of 2015 Natascha presented Singing Bowls and their healing powers to the International Touch for Health Conference celebrating the 40th Anniversary of TFH in Banff, Alberta. Since then she has created and started teaching her own discipline BioEnergetic Vibrational Tuning, combining all her training to assess and balance the biofield and body with sound and frequency.

What happens when the support system disappears the moment school ends?

For some students, graduating isn’t the finish line. It’s the moment they suddenly have to figure out: What now? Who can help me? Where do I even start?

In this clip from Episode 60 of Ramblings of a Busy Mind, Michelle Steiner talks about something that doesn’t get enough attention: helping students with learning disabilities and other challenges transition from school into adult life.

And her advice starts with something surprisingly simple:

Find out what you like to do. Then find a way to do it.

From vocational rehabilitation and government programs to physicians, social workers, case workers, and therapists, there are support systems that can help—but knowing they exist is often the first challenge.

This conversation goes beyond learning disabilities. It’s about finding your path when the traditional path doesn’t seem to fit, building self-trust, and recognizing that you don't have to figure everything out alone.

Because sometimes the right question isn't “Why can't I do this like everyone else?”

It’s “What support do I need to build a life that actually works for me?”

Sometimes the person who says “I understand” is the person who changes everything.

Michelle Steiner works with 7th graders—and there’s something powerful about the way she shows up for them.

She knows what it feels like to struggle.

Growing up with dyscalculia, she remembers wishing she didn’t have a disability. Today, she gets to be the voice telling students:

You are smart. You can do this.

She may not be the person who can help them with every math problem. But she can teach them something just as important: how to advocate for themselves, recognize that everyone struggles with something, and stop believing that struggling means they aren't capable.

And honestly? That lesson goes far beyond the classroom.

Because how often do we assume we need to have everything figured out before we can help someone else?

What if the things you've struggled with aren't proof that you're behind—but part of what gives you the ability to understand, connect, and support someone walking a similar path?

🎙️ In Episode 60 of Ramblings of a Busy Mind, Michelle Steiner and I talk about learning challenges, overthinking, emotional resilience, burnout, self-trust, and redefining success when the traditional path doesn't fit.

This conversation is a reminder that your struggle doesn't have to be your limitation. It can become part of your strength.

I put up a "Self-Care Break" sign at my vendor booth today.

And I meant it.

15 hours on your feet at a festival sounds doable. And yes — technically, I could.

But here's the question I've learned to ask first:

Do I have the capacity?

Because "can I do it" and "do I have the capacity" are not the same question.

One asks what you're capable of pushing through.
The other asks what your body and mind can actually sustain — right now, today, with everything already in the tank.

My arms were strained. I was already hurting.
So I put out the sign. I ate something. I got in my zero gravity chair.
And I chose to take care of myself before I got back to taking care of others.

That's not weakness.
That's capacity awareness in real life — messy, imperfect, and completely worth it.

The most high-performing, high-functioning people I know aren't the ones who push through everything.
They're the ones who've learned to check in with themselves before they hit the wall.

This is the work.
Not just knowing your limits — but actually respecting them, even when you could keep going.

That's exactly why I created the Summer Reset Workbook — a gentle self-trust guide for creating a summer that actually restores you.

Because summer is meant to feel lighter. But for so many of us, it quietly turns into another season of overdoing, overgiving, and trying to keep everyone else happy while losing sight of ourselves in the process.

Inside, you'll find:
✓ The Summer Overwhelm Check-In — identify what's draining you
✓ The Self-Trust Summer Check-In — reconnect with what genuinely restores you
✓ The Honor Your Limits & Boundaries Worksheet — protect your peace without guilt
✓ The From Chaos to Calm Reset Practice — a gentle 5-step process for regaining clarity in the moment
✓ The Summer Intention Setting Worksheet — design a summer that's genuinely yours

As StanFest comes to a close, I am in awe of how many wonderful people crossed my path over the last few days. Whether through meaningful conversations or hands-on vibrational sessions, every connection reminded me why I love this work.

It was exhausting and exhilarating all at once. I made a conscious effort to care for myself too by taking self-care breaks, accepting help from (and offering to) my amazing booth buddy Marie from D. Marie Jardine, and adapting how I worked as my body needed it.

A weekend filled with incredible music, genuine conversations, laughter, healing, and community. It truly could not have been better.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared your stories, trusted me with your well-being, or simply said hello. Until next year, StanFest. 💙

What if the reason you're still stuck in stress... isn't because you're not trying hard enough?

You can't always think your way out of a nervous system that's in survival mode.

That's why so many people keep reading the books, listening to podcasts, going to therapy, trying to stay positive... yet still find themselves snapping at loved ones, overthinking everything, or feeling like they're constantly "on."

In this clip from Episode 59 of Ramblings of a Busy Mind, Certified Mindset & Emotional Success Coach Georgie Hunt Barnwell explains why EFT Tapping has become one of the most effective emotional self-regulation tools available.

For more than 30 years, EFT has been helping people work through challenges ranging from phobias and food cravings to trauma and chronic stress. But perhaps its greatest gift is this:

✨ It gives you emotional first aid when life feels overwhelming.

Instead of waiting until your next appointment or trying to "push through," EFT can help you create a sense of safety, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself—right in the middle of life's chaotic moments.

As Georgie beautifully says, she wants people to have "power in their pocket." A practical tool they can use whenever they need it most.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or trapped in cycles of overthinking, this conversation will give you a completely different perspective on healing.

One question changed everything for me.

For years, before saying yes to anything — a request, a responsibility, one more task — I only asked myself one thing:

"Can I fit this in?"

If there was space in the calendar, the answer was yes. Every time. Without checking in with myself. Without asking what it would actually cost me.

What I didn't understand then is this: you can have a completely empty calendar and still have nothing left to give.

Capacity isn't about time. It's about energy. Emotional space. Mental bandwidth. The invisible weight of everything you're already carrying.

The day I started asking "Do I have the capacity for this?" instead — something quietly shifted.

Not because I stopped caring about others. But because I finally stopped leaving myself out of the equation.

That question didn't make me less generous. It made me more honest. And slowly, more sustainable.

One small change in language can create a profound shift in how we care for ourselves.

Ever found yourself yelling at the fridge... then wondering, "What is wrong with me?" 👀

It might not be anger.
It might not even be the fridge.

Sometimes what looks like irritability, emotional eating, doom shopping, or feeling constantly on edge is actually a nervous system that's been stuck in survival mode for far too long.

In this clip from Episode 59 of Ramblings of a Busy Mind, Georgie Hunt Barnwell shares the moment she realized her overwhelm wasn't a personal failure—it was a signal. That realization led her to discover EFT Tapping, a simple yet powerful somatic practice that helped her stop fighting herself and start creating safety from within.

✨ If you've been:
* Overthinking everything
* Feeling emotionally exhausted
* Snapping over the smallest things
* Struggling with stress or high-functioning burnout
* Wondering why talking about it isn't enough...
..this conversation will change the way you understand healing.

You don't have to earn your worth by always being available.

I know that might be uncomfortable to read.

Because for many of us — being available is how we learned to feel worthy. Being dependable, reliable, always there. The one who holds everything together.

And it happens so gradually that we don't notice the cost.

Until one day we look up and realize we've become available to everyone except ourselves.

Not in one dramatic moment. Slowly. One ignored signal at a time. One yes before checking in with ourselves. One need set aside because someone else's felt more urgent.

That's not strength. That's disappearing — quietly, and with a smile.

Awareness is often the first step back.

Not a plan. Not a protocol. Just the willingness to notice — when did I last actually check in with myself?

If this resonated, the full article is waiting for you. Link in bio — The Hidden Cost of Always Being Available. It goes deeper into what it really costs us to live beyond our capacity, and what finding our way back actually looks like.

And if you're ready for something gentle and practical to support you this summer — comment "SUMMER" below.

What if smoking isn't really about ni****ne... but about control?

Most people think addiction is a lack of willpower.

But what if that's not the real story?

In this conversation with Jessi Hartnett, we unpack why habits like smoking, overworking, doom scrolling, or even constantly staying busy often become a way to create a sense of control when life feels overwhelming.

When everything around you feels chaotic, your brain reaches for the one thing it knows will change how you feel—even if only for a moment.

That shift in perspective changes everything.

In Episode 58 of Ramblings of a Busy Mind, we explore:
✨ Why willpower alone isn't enough to break unhealthy habits.
✨ How stress can drive addictive behaviours without us even realizing it.
✨ Why we often replace one coping mechanism with another.
✨ How reconnecting with your body can be the first step toward lasting change.

If you've ever caught yourself saying...
"I'll stop tomorrow."
"I just need something to take the edge off."
"I don't know why I keep doing this."
..this conversation is for you.
