The thing is often folks don’t know what they’re connecting into so it’s not like it’s malicious intent to purposely lead you a stray but regardless it’s fairly easy to spot someone who’s channeling/ working with the false light.

Siphoning - vampiric energy vs holding clear, defined, boundaried space for both the client & practitioner to feel good at the end of a sesh is very diff energy

If you’re feeling drained, confused, exhausted, used after a session (client or practitioner) that may be a sign of energy transference, siphoning or lack of a boundary.

Just bc someone’s spiritual doesn’t mean their intentions are pure or that their practice is grounded & clear. Use your discernment and trust your intuition.

Allsssoo reading someone without their consent is a sure fire way to deplete your energy - major energy leak.

Worth noting, beyond the ethical reason for both you & the person you’re reading without consent (purposefully or accidentally) you’re not honouring your worth. It’s totally cool if you’re like thank love helping my friends out and it actually feels good for you but if it doesn’t feel good, you’re drained, feel used then let those ppl pay for your psychic - energetic - mediumship services ✌🏼

It wasn’t just that I was empathically aware and feeling what he was feeling I was starting to read his field and body and soul 😅 which is a big no-no in my books if someone hasn’t given me explicit permission.

So I 1. Named it right away. He was oblivious bc why would he know I was lol but I was aware and named it and took personal ownership for myself

And truthfully me naming this publicly makes me cringe bc my boundaries are usually sooo clear and ‘I’d never’ lol or apparently I’m human and still do
BUT I own it and course correct

2. I did course correct pretty much instantly, as soon as it moved from a friend hold space and listening to me reading bc I’ve honed my practice very precisely over the years. I KNOW what it feels when another energy enters my space. I KNOW what it feels to hold space vs read. I KNOW my energy vs another’s energy.

But I didn’t come into that understanding miraculously, I came into through the f’kn scenic route making many wrong turns.

I came into it bc I also know what it’s like when I merge with an energy. When I’m open all the time. When I’m drained. I know the rock bottom exhaustion which let me push off into this higher octave of awareness.

So I’m not up here on my high horse looking down judging or shaming you to do better and be better *me waggling my finger* .

I’ve been in the muck and saying that there’s another way to be both sensitive and clear and boundaried and “off” without being closed down is possible but it takes a level of self responsibility that most ppl aren’t willing to accept.

The concept of intentionally siphoning someones intuitive - psychic gifts from them bc you can’t access your own is so wildly wrong and absurd to me that I hadn’t even considered this was happening.

But of course it is.

The great news is that if someone’s siphoning energy or your abilities from you it’s absolutely not permanent and it’s very much preventable.
