A Living Legacy

One of the most meaningful parts of Thresholds: Into Authentic Relations won't just be experienced—it will be created.

We're honoured to have Shannon from The Boho Sketch Co. designing a one-of-a-kind illustration exclusively for our retreat. During the weekend, every participant will be invited to add their own brushstroke, colour, or creative touch, becoming part of a collaborative piece of art.

This isn't about creating a perfect painting.

It's about creating something together.

Each mark will represent a moment of courage, connection, healing, laughter, vulnerability, and belonging. Every person who joins us will leave a piece of themselves on the canvas, while taking a piece of the experience home in their heart.

When the retreat ends, the artwork won't.

It will become the living logo of Thresholds, carrying the spirit of this year's gathering into the next. A reminder that the community we build together continues long after the weekend is over.

Community Update

Just a quick update for our Reiki Share & Community Healing Circle community!

We'll be taking a little summer pause during July and August to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season. Our circle will return on Thursday, September 24, at Pineview Hall, and I can't wait to gather with you all again.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this such a welcoming, heart-centered community. I'm already looking forward to reconnecting, sharing, learning, and growing together this fall.

There is so much more to this retreat than I can capture in a single post.

As we get closer to Thresholds, I find myself wanting to share the rest of the story—the heart behind what we're creating, the experiences waiting to unfold, and the intention woven into every part of the weekend.

Over the coming days and weeks, I'll be taking you behind the scenes, introducing some of the ceremonies, workshops, and offerings that make this retreat so unique.

Today's glimpse is into one of the experiences we'll share together: our Elemental Attunements—an invitation to deepen your relationship with the natural world and the elements that live both around us and within us.

Healing isn't meant to happen alone.

Thresholds: Into Authentic Relations was created as a place where healing is honoured, authentic connection is welcomed, and community becomes part of the journey. Some weekends are simply a break from everyday life and others become a turning point.

Imagine beginning your mornings beside the lake, breathing deeply into a new day. Sharing nourishing meals prepared with intention. Sitting in sacred ceremony. Learning through workshops that invite you home to yourself. Gathering around the campfire in song, story, and laughter. Being witnessed, supported, and held by a community of people who have come with open hearts.

Throughout the weekend, you'll be guided by an incredible collective of facilitators, each bringing their own gifts, wisdom, and unique healing practices. In addition to their scheduled workshops and ceremonies, some of the facilitators will also be offering optional one-on-one sessions during free time. These sessions are a beautiful opportunity to receive more personalized support and experience their individual healing modalities. As internet and cell service can be limited at Camp Friendship, we encourage you to bring cash if you think you may wish to book a private session, as e-transfers may not always be available.

This is an intentionally inclusive retreat where all genders are welcome—a space to walk alongside our brothers and sisters in authenticity, compassion, and respect.

An Invitation Made More Accessible!

From the beginning, Thresholds was created with one hope—to offer a deeply intentional retreat where people could gather to heal, connect, and belong.

As this vision has grown, so too has the generosity surrounding it. Through the support of our facilitators, volunteers, and community, we've been able to make this experience more accessible without compromising the care, nourishment, or intention behind the weekend.

It brings me so much joy to share that the investment for Thresholds: Into Authentic Relations is now:

$777 (tax included)

This includes accommodations, all meals, workshops, ceremonies, and the full retreat experience.

One of the reasons Thresholds was created is because I longed for a healing space where men and women could gather together.

Over the years, I have attended beautiful retreats and healing experiences. They were meaningful, transformative, and deeply nourishing. Yet I often left with a feeling that something was missing.

For me, that missing piece was the opportunity to heal alongside both my sisters and my brothers.

Healing happens in relationship.

There is something profoundly powerful about being witnessed by people of all genders. About learning from one another. About sharing space with authenticity, vulnerability, compassion, and respect.

To be seen without judgment.

To be heard without ridicule.

To take up space and allow others to do the same.

One of the things that makes Thresholds so unique is that it is intentionally inclusive of all genders.

When I began looking for retreats that focused on healing, authentic connection, and transformation, I noticed that many were created specifically for men or specifically for women. While those spaces can be incredibly valuable, I often found myself leaving with a feeling that something was missing.

For me, that missing piece was the opportunity to heal, learn, grow, and be witnessed alongside both our sisters and our brothers.

There is something profoundly powerful about gathering in a sacred space where people of all genders come together with a shared intention to heal, connect, and grow.

To be seen without judgment.

To be heard without ridicule.

To take up space.

To practice authenticity.

To witness one another's humanity.

This vision became one of the foundations of Thresholds.

More than chocolate, cacao has long been honoured as a sacred plant ally — inviting us to slow down, soften, and connect more deeply with ourselves and one another.

As part of our weekend together, we will gather in sacred ceremony around this beautiful medicine, creating space to open the heart, quiet the mind, and listen to the wisdom within.
