It's the difference between clear, comfortable vision on the job and a pair of glasses that don't actually protect you the way they should.

Plus - we are a participating dispensing partner in the Eyesafe BC program! That means, if your employer is enrolled in the Eyesafe BC program, and you have a prescription, you can get authorized to come in and get fitted with our selection of safety eyewear, and the billing goes directly back to your employer through the program .

Meet Yvonne! The heart behind Gurney House of Vision. 👓

Born and raised right here in Prince George, Yvonne always knew she wanted a career that would make a real difference in people's lives. After graduating with honours in 1995, she's spent over 30 years in the optical industry helping people of all ages see clearly, look amazing, and feel confident in what they're wearing. In 2009, she became the owner of Gurney House of Vision, and she hasn't slowed down since!

📚 Former Board Member and Quality Assurance Member, College of Opticians of BC
👓 Licensed Optician with 30+ years in the industry

When she's not in the shop, Yvonne travels the world and brings a little piece of it home with her, using the latest trends and designs she discovers abroad to inspire the exclusive frame lines she selects for the shop. Those exclusive Italian and Japanese frame lines you see on our floor? They're there because Yvonne has an eye for what's special.

Yvonne started her career wanting to help people and make a difference. Now, three decades later, that hasn't changed one bit! She's passionate about the community of Prince George that she calls home, and it shows in every customer interaction.
