Oots'n Reconnection Services. Charters-Cultural Tours-Education Providing Indigenous-led Land and Ocean based experiential learning opportunities. Proudly serving the North Coast and Traditional Tsimshian Territory.

Oots'n Reconnection will utilize vessels consisting of the main vessel "Northern Monarch" and a tender vessel to provide transportation and safe excursions to deliver Land and Ocean Based Experiential learning opportunities. Teaching will be done through relational practices consisting of traditional knowledge, best practices while offering opportunities to experience self-healing and foster food harvesting independence.

You might hear me say June is my least favourite month. Mostly because Prince Rupert is always socked in with damp coastal weather and it seems like itโ€™s summer everywhere else but here. Then I get some gentle reminders June isnโ€™t so bad after all, especially if I bonk a few spring salmon as well. Salmon berries make the neighbourhood walk a bit more interesting.

Soaking up the last days of seaweed picking season. Enjoying some beach time after the morning tide. I often donโ€™t get back on the rocks like this until the next year, as we shift our focus to salmon for the summer.

Community members are invited to take part in this guided on-water tour and learn how to help protect our territorial waters from invasive European Green Crab.
