Hi, it’s me. 👋🌸 And I may have accidentally started a tiny flower nursery! 😇

Some of you have been here a while. You might even have dahlias in your garden or memories of colourful spring and summer bouquet’s from seasons past.

And some of you found me through the grief work - my focus in recent years, the other thing that lives in my heart alongside all of this.

Therapist X Flower Fairy 🧚‍♀️
…same same, but different 😂

Anyways, I walked around my backyard recently and looked - really looked - at 8+ years of intentional collecting. Of saying yes to that peony, that climbing rose, that peculiar little potentilla. Of learning what actually thrives here in zone 8 Qualicum Beach, amongst the deer and the rabbits and the very audacious critters who think my garden is a buffet. 🐇

And it hit me. *I could share this.*
Beyond the tubers, beyond the bouquets…

Not truckloads of everything. Not a big box nursery. Something more like… an offering from one flower-obsessed heart to yours. Curated. Tried and tested. Grown with intention and a little bit of magic.

A tiny nursery.
A flower sanctuary in seedling form.
And me - the garden curator and flower grower 💃🏼

Offering a curated collection of plants with stories and properties and a certain kind of quiet medicine in them. Because flowers are magic and sharing my garden with others is always an absolute joy… 🤗

More on that soon. 🌿✨

TLDR: *I accidentally started a tiny flower nursery - and the most magical, intentionally curated plants will be available soon. Come along for the adventure.* 🌻🌿

Sometimes, in grief,
something happens
that brings a moment of peace.
A dream.
A sign.
A conversation.
A feeling you can’t quite explain.
And for a moment—
you can breathe again.
🌿
But then comes the fear…
“What if it doesn’t last?”
“What if I go back to how I was?”
“What if this was the only time?”
🌙
And so instead of holding onto the peace…
we start bracing for its loss.
🌸
But what if the moment
was never meant to stay?
What if it came to show you
what is still possible?
🌿
Not to replace your grief—
but to sit beside it.

Grief can feel like waking up to a garden you no longer recognize. 🌿

Beds overgrown.
Edges softened.
Life pressing through in unexpected places.
What was once contained begins to sprawl.
What was quiet starts to reach.

We learned to keep things tidy.
To trim back anything that might spill or show.
To tend the prim and proper flower beds — upholding the kind of garden that appears cared for, controlled, respectable,
the one that reassures others (and maybe ourselves) that we are coping.

But gardens are always responding to what’s beneath the surface —
to seasons shifting, roots deepening, life reorganizing itself.

And grief has a way of outgrowing containment.

Eventually, the cracks begin to show.
Weeds press through the concrete.
What has been buried or held down for years begins to reach — instinctively — for light. ☀️

This isn’t a failure of tending.

It’s a sign that something alive has been asking to breathe.

In grief, the nervous system can no longer maintain the same tight grip. The body grows weary of holding everything together. And what rises may feel messy, unfamiliar, even frightening — emotions that won’t stay small, needs that refuse to be postponed, truths that ache to be spoken.

This is often the moment people whisper to themselves, ‘I think I’m falling apart…’

✨But in nature, wild growth is not collapse. It is reclamation.

Weeds are not mistakes.
They are resilient, adaptive, relentlessly alive.
They grow where conditions are harsh.
They insist on life where structure has grown too rigid.

Sometimes grief doesn’t ask us to tidy the garden.
It asks us to stop pretending it was ever meant to be perfectly managed. 🧚‍♂️

Let the unraveling happen.
Soften our grip.
Become more honest than composed.

In this kind of tending, wellness is no longer about control. It becomes an act of listening.
Of allowing what is alive in you to emerge — even if it changes the shape of the landscape entirely.

Grief makes space for a different kind of order.
One shaped by tenderness, truth, and a deepening trust in yourself.

You do not need to return to the garden you once maintained. You are allowed to grow something wilder now. 🌻🌿

Becoming a counsellor was never just a career move for me.

It’s been a quiet becoming.

A journey through my own seasons of grief, loss, uncertainty, and the kind of growth that only comes after it all falls apart. This work was born through experience — not in spite of it. A silent declaration formed while wandering my garden one winter’s day, a few years ago — created to honour someone special, and now fulfilled.

Now, I get to sit with individuals moving through their own threshold moments: heartbreak, life transitions, nervous system tenderness, and the ache of becoming who you truly are.

I’m proud to share that I’m now a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC-C), and beginning next week, I’ll be seeing clients through ‘Adventuring Loss’ — an incredible online clinic supporting those navigating the invisible weight of grief, loss, life transitions, and trauma.

If your inner garden is asking to be tended to — I’d be honoured to walk with you.

It’s rhododendron season and my yard has officially entered fairy portal status! 🧚

Deep pinks, dreamy purples, and those creamy whites that look like moonlight in petal form… it’s a full-body exhale out there 💛😍

My garden is a sanctuary. A soft place to land. A reminder that beauty still bursts forth, even after long winters. It offers peace for weary souls, and glimmers of hope found in the colours, scents and energy of each bloom. 🌱 I smile in awe hearing the incredible sound of a bumblebee chorus as dozens of them dance from flower to flower… and I wonder… how is it possible that one space holds so much magic. 🥹

If you need me, I’ll be out there drinking tea barefoot, talking to the blossoms like they’re old friends (because they are). 😇🌷🌿
