Today I travelled to Port Alberni to see a new client for Neuromovement lessons. Between lessons I stopped by the Habour Quay, took a few pictures of the neat carvings and the view, and then had the most amazing smoked salmon crepe The Bombers Cafe & Creperie
I only wish I had ordered the full crepe instead of a half, it was so delicious!

If you know anyone living in Port Alberni who would be interested in lessons, I may be coming out more regularly. Travel fees can be divided between clients making it more affordable for everyone. Message me to learn more about lessons in Port Alberni.

The past week at Provincials has been fantastic. There are so many talented youth in BC in the performing arts!

Here are pictures of day 5 travel (video of the Fraser River in Hope, BC) and day 6 we visited Fort Langley - the birthplace of British Columbia!

Tomorrow we return home and it's back to work and the farm! Thanks again to my three children who stayed home and took care of everything at home. It's lovely having teen and adult children who can do that for me!

Day 2 yesterday of the trip to Prince George BC for the BC performing Arts Provincials. I started my day working on my course work for the Integral Movement Method training. Then off we went navigating a logging road to see the Waterfall Columns near Alexandria. Next rest stop was a picnic lunch at Pinnacle Provincial Park in Quesnel. Lots of interesting rock formations and fun little hikes. We settled into a lovely Airbnb in Prince George and could rest up for the following day of singing.

Day 1 of travel up to Prince George! I'm taking a week off from seeing clients so that I can accompany my daughter and my husband to Prince George for the BC performing Arts Provincials. Our daughter was selected to represent our area for classical voice. We are so proud of her and are very excited to join her for this experience. The rest of the family is at home taking care of the farm!

Come along for a little forest therapy on this beautiful Mother's Day! My boys asked me to join them on a Mother's Day hike while the rest of the family was at musical theatre rehearsal. At first I was going to say that I was too busy (the to do list is long at the moment) but I decided that yes, this was a good idea. Hiking was one of the reasons why we moved to Vancouver Island after all! What a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day!

I will be speaking at 11am at the Oceanside Family Health and Wellness Fair! Come out and hear my presentation "Move Beyond Pain: A Live NeuroMovement® Experience" and experience the changes you can feel as I lead the group through a NeuroMovement® lesson. I will also have a table set up with more information about all the services I offer through Friesen Holistic Wellness.

This is why I have been taking so many webinars in the last year and a half and am now training in the Integral Movement Method. Education and knowledge is so important especially when the medical community is lacking in knowledge about EDS and what is all involved in a connective tissue disorder. Understanding how hypermobility and connective tissue issues impacts life in every way, has been so helpful for our family and for how I work with my clients.

We were inspired by the words and journey of Catriona Le May Doan. What an inspiration to empower others and to know that we all can make an impact in the world even if we only have a few minutes to do so.

We all have a unique journey that life takes us on. My journey through Lyme disease and supporting my family members with hypermobility has taken me in directions that I had never even dreamed of. I now can support my clients and my family in ways I hadn't known possible a decade ago. Neuromovement®, Holistic Nutrition and now the Integral Movement Method (currently in training) are all now part of what I am able to offer at Friesen Holistic Wellness all because of my health journey and my search for healing. Our stories do not have to limit us or crush us but can be the catalyst to keep moving forward and to make the world a better place!
