Today! I welcome you to join us for this conversational hour. Link in original post :)
Pain is my own lived experience... I understand how it feels when our body is limited in movement or capacity. I have also spent years working with clients living with the same. I know it is possible to cultivate a practice that has less fear and more peace, even when living with persistent pain.
I am delighted to welcome Neil and Lisa Pearson of Pain Care Aware who are able to pop in for the visit, whose combined wisdom has been part of SOYA's programs in various ways for many years.
I hope to see you there!
Pain changes how we practice. Compassion changes how we teach.
Join us for our next SOYA Tea & Chat: Trauma‑Aware & Compassionate Teaching in SOYA, where we’ll explore Pain Awareness & Compassionate Teaching.

Together, we’ll discuss how trainees learn to work with pain and injury, support student autonomy, recognize red flags, understand scope of practice, and teach with greater clarity and care.
We’ll also introduce the Pain Care Aware – Foundations Course, with online modules, weekly live sessions with Neil and Lisa, replays, and guided support from November 5–December 10.
