This Monday, August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day💜

Come join Turning Point & others in Rotary Picnic Park to hold space for those lost to the opioid poisoning crisis and those currently living in it.

They'll be joined with Mom’s Stop the Harm, who will be hosting their annual Walk to Remember from Rotary Picnic Park to City Hall Park from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Other community organizations and agencies will be attending with tables set up to share information about their programming.

The event will feature:

It means CMHA- Central Alberta uses donations from our community in order to maintain our functions that allow us to provide mental health education and services to the region we serve.

💚CMHA- Central Alberta provides free resources and services to those in our community who need it. Without the generous support of donors we would not be able to provide the services we do.

If you or someone you know is interest in helping support our cause and the services we provide please donate through our website.

We accept a variety of donations ranging from cash donations, to donations of goods such as clothing, food, or house supplies (bedding, towels, socks) etc..

Role: Supports for Community Living Worker - Brain Injury

The Alberta Brain Injury Network Program Supports for Community Living worker is part of a larger provincial network providing service coordination of short term supports to individuals and families living with the impact of an acquired brain injury. Working from a trauma-informed perspective, the Supports for Community Living worker will promote a person-centered, rehabilitation approach to service delivery, respecting each client’s rights as an individual. Supports will be provided according to principles and philosophy of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Location: Red Deer, Alberta | In Person

Job Type: Full Time (temporary replacement)

This donation comes from the money they raised from their annual charity ride event "B***s, Balls & Brains" in June.
