The Ontario government has launched a $15 million Life Sciences Innovation Fund to help entrepreneurs and innovators in the sector move their ideas and prototypes from the lab to the marketplace.
This is good news for an industry where start-ups often face risks in scaling up their health technology solutions. This new fund should help Ontario solidify its position as a leading global life sciences center.

Le gouvernement de l’Ontario a lancé un Fonds pour l’innovation en sciences de la vie de 15 millions de dollars pour aider les entrepreneurs et les innovateurs du secteur à faire passer leurs idées et leurs prototypes du laboratoire au marché.
Une bonne nouvelle pour un domaine d’activité où les jeunes entreprises rencontrent souvent des risques quand il s’agit de mettre à l’échelle leurs solutions en technologies de santé.
Ce nouveau fonds devrait permettre à l’Ontario de consolider sa position en tant que centre mondial de premier plan des sciences de la vie.

Board Member Hugh Nelson and representatives from the Norwest Co-op of Winnipeg are attending the 2022 ACE Institute in Vancouver this week. It’s been a pleasure for them to visit the Musqueam First Nation this morning and learn about their traditions!

The Healthcare Co-op Federation of Canada was privileged to represent its members at the CMC Congress and AGM last week! We were excited to see such an incredible youth delegation, with over 50 in-person youth participants!

At the AGM, CMC members ratified a motion that acknowledges the impact of climate change and the role co-operatives play in mitigating our carbon footprint, by joining the Campaign.
