Happy World Environment Day! 🌎🌾

Nature offers so many opportunities for children to explore, learn, regulate, and grow. Whether it’s a walk outside, time at the park, or simply noticing the world around us, small moments in nature can make a big impact.

Today, we celebrate the importance of caring for our planet—for the children of today and the generations to come.

Hi there! 👋
Meet Karen Wotherspoon, M.Ed., Registered Psychologist #832!

Karen is a Registered Psychologist with 5.5 years at Joshua Tree Learning Centre, bringing experience, curiosity, and a genuine love of connection to her work. She values the opportunity to get to know a wide variety of people and to support them through their individual journeys.

A fan of mango fresh rolls and fueled by tea, Karen dreams of traveling to Italy and exploring new places whenever she can. She’s drawn to the teal blue of the ocean by Cuba, loves fall for its warmth and colour (and the hint of Christmas to come), and recharges with walks or yoga.

When it’s time to unplug, she finds her peace in the mountains. 🏔️🙏

Mental wellness is not a destination. It is a daily practice.

Small habits — consistent routines, supportive conversations, professional guidance — create meaningful change over time. If you are feeling stuck, reaching out can be the first step forward. 😃
