Residents at Trinity Manor took part in a discussion to learn more about the history of Treaty 4, residential schools and their impact across generations, as well as to address how we can reconcile with the past. We continue on the path towards reconciliation, understanding that it is a journey, not a destination.

Today we were fortunate to be joined by Keenan from the University of Regina. Acting in the spirit of reconciliation, we requested his knowledge and guidance for a smudging ceremony.

Smudging allows us to clear negative energies, while cleansing the mind, body and spirit, making room for more positivity and gratefulness towards others and the world around us.

We are thankful for Keenan’s teachings today and we continue our shared journey forwards to truth and reconciliation.

No one should ever wonder when and where their next meal is. We are doing our part at Trinity Manor to help with the growing concern for hunger in Regina. We hosted our very own food drive this past week, in preparation for National Food Bank Day today. We collected plenty of goods from residents and staff!
