🎉🔍 Research projects are a fun and meaningful way to build academic readiness skills! Through guided research activities, learners practice identifying topics of interest 🌟, gathering information 📚, typing key facts ⌨️, organizing their ideas 🗂️, and presenting their findings to others 🎤.

These activities support a wide range of important skills, including reading comprehension 📖, written communication ✍️, technology use 💻, attention to detail 🔎, critical thinking 🧠, and public speaking 🗣️. They also help learners build confidence 💪 as they share their knowledge and interests with peers and instructors 😊.

By turning curiosity into learning opportunities 🌈, research projects encourage independence 🚀, self-expression 🎨, and lifelong learning skills 🌱 that can support success both in and out of the classroom 🏫✨.

What an incredible and meaningful day for all of us at Adora Bright Pediatric Therapy Services. 🌱✨
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the grand opening of our new location and this next chapter for our Adora family. Seeing families, children, clinicians, colleagues, and community partners come together reminded us exactly why we do what we do every single day. 🤍
A special thank you to MP Costas Menegakis for taking the time to join us and support our vision for children and families in our community. Your presence truly meant a lot to us.
To our amazing families — thank you for your trust, love, and ongoing support. Adora would not be what it is today without each and every one of you. Watching the children laugh, play, and enjoy the celebration made the day even more special.
A big thank you as well to .zen_icecream for bringing smiles, treats, and fun to the event 🍦 and to .inc for beautifully capturing these memorable moments for us. 🎥, and to for creating such an exciting atmosphere with the outdoor fun and bouncy castle that the children absolutely loved. 🎈☀️

This milestone represents growth, community, and our continued commitment to supporting children through a whole-child, collaborative approach across ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and family support services.
Whole Child. Whole Team. One Bright Future. 🌱✨

🌱 New Episode Now Live: Understanding IEPs, IPRCs & Your Child’s Rights in School 🌱

Are you ever left wondering…
👉 Is my child actually getting the support they need at school?
👉 What should an IEP really include?
👉 Do I have a say in what happens next?
We hear this from families all the time—and you’re not alone.
🎥 In our newest episode, we break down IEPs, IPRCs, and autism support in Ontario schools in a way that is clear, practical, and empowering.
This is not about creating conflict with schools. It’s about helping you understand your child’s rights, feel confident in meetings, and know what support should look like.
We talk about:
✨ what an IEP actually is—and what it should include
✨ timelines and legal obligations schools must follow
✨ the role of IPRC and identification processes
✨ what “accommodations” vs. “modifications” really mean
✨ when a child is being under-supported (and what to do)
✨ school refusal, exclusion, and what is not acceptable
✨ how autism, communication, and regulation needs show up in school
✨ how ABA, SLP, and OT perspectives support school success
✨ how to communicate effectively with schools without escalation
✨ how to advocate while maintaining collaborative relationships

Whether your child is just starting school or already navigating challenges, this episode will help you feel more confident and informed.
At Adora Bright, we believe:
Whole Child. Whole Team. One Bright Future. 🌱

Ready, set… LISTEN 👂✨

Today we put our listening ears to work and became Active Listening Champs 🤖🎨 while completing our robot colouring sheets. The challenge? Follow only verbal directions - no visual hints 👀❌

From “colour the eyes green” 🟢 to “colour the square button yellow” 🟨, we practised:
• Listening carefully to auditory cues 👂
• Telling apart colours, features, and body parts 🎨
• Slowing down and thinking before responding ⏳
• Staying focused from start to finish 🧠✨

Activities like this help build strong listening skills, supporting communication, learning, and social success 💬🌱

Keep practising - those listening muscles get stronger every time 💪👂

Our second episode explores a question many parents ask:

ABA, SLP & OT: Early Signs Experts Look For

In this episode, we walk through what professionals across ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy look for in early development—and how to better understand your child’s growth.

This conversation is designed to help families recognize and make sense of early patterns related to:
✨ communication and language
✨ social interaction and engagement
✨ play skills and imagination
✨ emotional regulation and flexibility
✨ sensory responses
✨ motor development and coordination
✨ overall developmental progression

This is not about labeling or creating worry. It’s about helping you feel more informed, confident, and supported in understanding your child through a compassionate, whole-child lens.

We’re so excited to launch our new parent education series created for families, educators, and the wider support community.

Our first episode dives into an important topic many families are navigating right now:

Screens, Autism, and Early Development: What Helps, What Hurts, and What Parents Need to Know

This conversation is all about helping families better understand how screens may impact:
✨ attention
✨ communication
✨ transitions
✨ frustration tolerance
✨ emotional regulation
✨ sleep, play, and learning
✨ whole-child development from early years through teens
