When a child's eye grows too quickly from front to back, it causes objects in the distance to look blurry. While we can’t change their DNA, we can change their environment to help slow that progression down.

Here are 4 easy, ophthalmologist-backed habits you can start practicing with your kids today:

☀️ Get outside: Aim for 1.5 to 2 hours of daylight daily. Sunlight is a natural shield for eye elongation!
📏 Watch the distance: Keep screens and books an elbow-length away.
👀 Take 20-20-20 breaks: Every 20 minutes of reading or gaming, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
💡 Light it up: Make sure study spaces are well-lit—no scrolling in pitch-black rooms.
