Marching into Wellness at Chartwell! 🌼🚶‍♀️

Our walking group is stepping strong this March as we focus on health, movement, and community.

With our Lifestyle Program Assistant Kulwinder leading the pack today, residents are enjoying fresh energy, friendly conversation, and the many benefits of staying active together.

It’s wonderful to see our walking group growing as more residents join us on our journey toward wellness, one step at a time!

Residents at Oak Ridges enjoyed a wonderful wellness session led by Kathryn, our Assisted Living Manager, who delivered an engaging “Move It” presentation focused on staying active and healthy at every age.

After the presentation, residents participated in mindful stretching exercises, raising their arms, loosening their shoulders, and moving together in a fun and supportive environment. These gentle movements help improve mobility, circulation, and overall well-being while bringing smiles and laughter to the room.

At Oak Ridges, we believe joy truly is ageless, and activities like these keep our community energized, connected, and thriving. 💙

Today is World Delirium Awareness Day.

Delirium is a sudden change in thinking, attention, and awareness that can affect older adults, especially during illness or hospitalization. It can appear quickly, but with awareness and early recognition, it can often be prevented, identified, and treated.

At Chartwell, we are committed to supporting brain health, recognizing changes early, and creating an environment where residents feel safe, oriented, and supported every day. 💙

Today we’re sharing this short educational video to help raise awareness and encourage conversations about delirium among caregivers, families, and our community.
