We definitely haven’t cooled off since summer—we’ve simply pivoted to more fall colours! From painting classes, baking and trivia to a successful bean bag toss featuring residents, family members and our amazing Oak Ridges team members and volunteers, there have been so many wonderful smiles to enjoy.

Another week, another round of creative fundraising for Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie

Our communities have been busy hosting car shows, bake sales, a lemonade stand, a casino event, and even a walker wash, all to help grant more meaningful wishes for seniors across Canada.

We continue to be amazed by the fun ideas and enthusiasm behind this year’s National Summer Fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who has joined in and helped make each event a success!

Three communities, one incredible night, and $14,000 raised for wishes!

Chartwell Oak Park Terrace, Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle, and Chartwell St. Clair Beach joined forces for an incredible Pasta Fundraiser in support of Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie, raising $14,000 to help make meaningful wishes come true for seniors across Canada.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make the evening such a success. What an amazing show of community spirit and generosity!

Now that’s how you Stuff the Bus! 🚌

Chartwell residents, team members and community partners in Chilliwack recently came together to collect more than 1,200 pounds of food and essential items for local seniors and families in need.

Donation bins were placed throughout the community before the initiative wrapped up with a collection day at the local YMCA, all in support of the Chilliwack Salvation Army.

A big thank you to the local organizations, businesses, volunteers and community members who donated, pitched in, and helped spread the word. It’s amazing what can happen when a community comes together for a good cause! ❤️

☀️🌴 What an incredible afternoon at our Chartwell Oak Ridges Summer Tasting! 🌺🍍

On Friday, our residents enjoyed a delicious culinary tasting prepared by our very own Culinary Team, who outdid themselves with an amazing selection of flavours.

We also took a trip to the Caribbean with the wonderful Sonita and Taurean, whose lively music and infectious energy brought the true island vibes to Chartwell Oak Ridges! 🎶🌺

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Oak Ridges team, our dedicated volunteers, and of course our wonderful residents for making this event such a fun-filled afternoon and a tremendous success. Events like these remind us that the best memories are made when our community comes together.

🎨🌸 Chartwell's Signature Program: Artful Enrichment was in full swing today! 🌸🎨

Our residents embraced their creativity as we painted beautiful hydrangeas using some unique tools—bubble wrap, Q-tips, and plenty of imagination! It was amazing to see each masterpiece come to life, with every painting reflecting its own special touch.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers for lending a helping hand and making today's program such a success. Your kindness, encouragement, and support help create meaningful experiences for our residents, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our community. 💙

Monday's Men's Club was one for the books! 🎱👏

This week, it was Managers vs. Residents... and let's just say the residents came ready to win! 🏆 Congratulations to our champions for defeating the managers in a friendly (and very competitive!) match. We might have to step up our game before the rematch!

The afternoon was filled with laughter, great conversation, and a little friendly rivalry—everything that makes Men's Club such a wonderful part of our week.

We're already looking forward to many more fantastic afternoons together with our incredible residents. And gentlemen, if you've been thinking about joining us, we'd love to see some new faces! Come out, have some fun, and be part of the camaraderie.

🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day from all of us at Chartwell Oak Ridges! ❤️🤍

We kicked off our celebrations by putting our residents' Canadian knowledge to the test with a fun-filled Canada Trivia, followed by an afternoon of music and entertainment with the wonderful Kathryn Scobie!

Residents enjoyed a taste of Canada with delicious Nanaimo bars, warm apple blossoms, and fresh-popped popcorn. To toast the occasion, we sipped on Ontario wine and refreshing iced tea—perfect for a beautiful, sunny Canada Day!

Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a memorable celebration of our country, our community, and the joy of spending time together.

What a wonderful week at Chartwell Oak Ridges!

We kicked things off by proudly putting up the beautiful birdhouse we painted together — a charming new addition that’s sure to welcome some feathered friends to our community. 🐦🎨

With strawberry season in full swing, we rolled up our sleeves and made delicious homemade strawberry jam. 🍓 Nothing beats the sweet taste of summer made with love!

To wrap up an exciting week, we added even more colour to our garden by painting rocks — each one a unique masterpiece that brings joy to our outdoor space. And of course, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays is always part of the fun! ⚾💙

We were honoured to welcome our local MP for Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill, Costas Menegakis, to Chartwell Oak Ridges this past Saturday in celebration of Seniors Week!

Our residents enjoyed the opportunity to connect with him, share stories, and engage in meaningful conversation. The highlight of his visit was a heartfelt message of appreciation, as he thanked our residents for their incredible contributions to our local community—and the many communities they’ve touched throughout their lives.

It was a truly special occasion celebrating the impact, wisdom, and legacy of our seniors. Thank you, Mr. Menegakis, for helping make Seniors Week so memorable! 💙
