Today marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time for us to honour the heritage and diverse cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. As healthcare providers, we recognize the importance of culturally safe care and the role we play in the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
At the BCCA, we respectfully acknowledge that our members and staff, live, work, and provide care on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples. We remain committed to truth and reconciliation through ongoing learning, respect, collaboration, and shared responsibility for the land and its peoples.
What can you do to engage meaningfully today?
