We have had so much fun the last week trying to "Guess the Grad"! It was more difficult than we thought it would be but we loved seeing residents in younger days and hearing stories about their pictures. We hung these around our dining room so everyone could take part. We overheard many conversations asking table mates if they figured out one picture or another! We have enjoyed celebrating the grads the last week and seeing students who have shared time at Grass Home celebrating this special milestone.

We had some very special visitors this afternoon. A group of Beavers stopped in to visit and hand out rocks they painted for our residents. This scouting group had a year end community project and we were thrilled they chose our home to share this with. They brought a lot of reminiscing to residents who used to take part in similar programs when they were younger!

What a special afternoon we had with some pretty amazing grads! They are busy with exams, and prom and graduation fast approaching and still took the time to put on a Prom Fashion Show for us. Our residents absolutely love this annual event. Styles of dresses and suits may have changed over the years but the excitement these events bring remains strong! Thank you to Ms Atkinson for arranging this event each year and to all the students for bringing such joy to our home today. You were all stunning and we hope you have the best time at your prom on Monday!

We sure have many talented bakers at Grass Home. Our baking club brings a crowd and we have a great time reminiscing and chatting about different techniques and recipes. Oatmeal raisin cookies were on the menu and were delicious!

With graduation time upon us, our residents have some very wise words of wisdom to share with the grads! Many of these students have shared time with us through our intergenerational programing and we are excited for them as they prepare for the next chapter in life! We wish them all the best and hope they enjoy all the graduation festivities in the coming weeks.
