Congratulations to Caitlin Martin from McNish Steel on winning the beautiful fire pit generously donated by Ja-Co Welding!

A sincere thank you to Ja-Co Welding for their generosity and support of the manufacturing community. Your donation helped make this member appreciation initiative possible, and we truly appreciate your partnership.

This draw was our way of saying thank you to everyone who invested in workplace safety by attending an MHSA classroom or on-site training course in Northern Alberta. Every person who attended during the qualifying period was automatically entered into the draw.

It was a pleasure presenting the fire pit to Caitlin during our MHSA BBQ. Congratulations once again, Caitlin! We hope you enjoy many great evenings around your new fire pit with family and friends.

To everyone who has attended MHSA training, thank you for your commitment to learning, improving your skills, and helping create safer workplaces across Alberta.

Great conversations. Great people. Great afternoon.

A sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to join us at the MHSA Edmonton BBQ.

Events like this remind us that safety is about much more than legislation, audits, or training. It's about building relationships, sharing experiences, learning from one another, and strengthening the manufacturing community.

It was great to see so many familiar faces, meet new people, and have conversations that went well beyond work. Those connections are what make organizations and our industry stronger.

On behalf of all of us at MHSA, thank you for spending part of your day with us. We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing everyone again at future events.

John Duncan from Manufacturers' Health & Safety Association (MHSA) had the opportunity to speak with the team during their Safety Day about building and sustaining a strong safety culture.

A sincere thank you to Ma**er Packaging for inviting MHSA to be part of this important event. It was great to see so many employees engaged in discussions about leadership, accountability, communication, and how every worker plays a role in creating a safer workplace.

A strong safety culture isn't built by policies alone. It's built by the decisions people make every day, the conversations they have, and the willingness to look out for one another.

Last week, MHSA had the opportunity to deliver on-site forklift operator training for the team at CRC Wellhead in Edmonton.

One of the benefits of on-site training is that learning takes place where the work happens. Operators can discuss real workplace challenges, identify site-specific hazards, and apply what they've learned using the equipment they operate every day.

What stood out during this session was the level of engagement from the CRC Wellhead team. Employees actively participated, shared experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and demonstrated a strong commitment to working safely.

Training is more than obtaining a certificate. It is about building competency, improving hazard awareness, and helping workers make better decisions before an incident occurs.

At MHSA, we are proud to support Alberta manufacturers by providing practical, industry-focused training that helps strengthen safety culture and protect the people who make our industry successful.

We’re proud to celebrate two outstanding women in manufacturing who have taken major steps in advancing workplace safety.

Through the MHSA Creative Sentence Scholarship Fund, they have successfully earned their Manufacturing Safety Administrator Certification and Manufacturing Safety Officer designation.

Their dedication not only strengthens safety standards on the shop floor but also inspires the next generation of women leaders in the industry.
