Our incredibly talented Summer Camp Leader Mia — a trained pianist and piano teacher — brought music to camp today, and what she created was pretty incredible.

Every camper had a role. Every camper was part of the performance.

For Chrisker, who is Deaf, Mia got creative. She used visual cues along with a metronome on her phone, placed on his leg so he could feel the vibration of the beat and know exactly when to play his drum.

And then they brought it all together.

Different instruments. Different ways of experiencing the music. One seriously awesome performance. 🥁🎹

THIS is what inclusion can look like — not asking someone to fit into the experience, but adapting the experience so everyone belongs.

Mia, you absolutely knocked this one out of the park. 👏

Some very special four-legged guests joined Summer Camp! 🐾

We were thrilled to welcome Dogs with Wings Wings and three incredible pups — Kona, Rosie and Lop — along with their trainers Chihiro, Robyn and Ginette, and Executive Director Greg Loveday.

Our campers loved getting up close, learning more about these amazing dogs and seeing the important work they’re trained to do. Safe to say, there were plenty of smiles, pets and new furry friendships made!

A huge thank you to the Dogs with Wings team for spending time with us and creating such a memorable experience for our campers.

Some adventures don’t need a destination—they simply need the people you love beside you. 💙

This weekend, we’re inviting you to take part in Parker’s Memorial Adventure Walk.

Whether it’s your favourite neighbourhood path, a local park, a forest trail, or a quiet place that feels like home, take some time to get outside, make memories, and celebrate the spirit of adventure that Parker loved so much.

Walk with your family, your friends, your neighbours—or simply enjoy a peaceful moment in nature.

If you’d like, wear blue, dress for adventure, bring a favourite stuffed friend, or listen to music that makes you smile. There is no right way to participate—just your way.

📅 August 8–9
📍 Wherever you call home

Share your adventure using so families and communities everywhere can walk together in Parker’s memory.

💙 Every step is a reminder that love continues to leave footprints.

Some of the best summer memories come from experiences shared together. 💙

We’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with Kids Up Front Edmonton, whose generosity helps make moments like these possible for the youth and families we support.

This week, our Summer Camp participants are enjoying a day at K-Days, and yesterday one of the youth we support had the opportunity to attend an Edmonton Riverhawks game with their family. These experiences create connection, confidence, laughter, and memories that last far beyond the day itself.

Thank you, Kids Up Front Edmonton , for helping open doors to opportunities that make such a meaningful difference. We’re honoured to share these moments with the incredible people we support.

The future’s looking bright… 😎☀️

Our campers are soaking up every moment of summer—building friendships, making memories, trying new things, and having an absolute blast along the way.

Safe to say… shades are required for a summer this bright. 😎💛
