Are you worried about staying cool during the hot weather?

During the day, individuals who are vulnerably unhoused can go to the St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village to cool down and get some food and water. Staff may also assist with finding overnight shelter. Call 780-459-0589 or visit https://loom.ly/1LpZJks.

In urgent situations, those who require assistance outside of business hours may be supported by the St. Albert RCMP/Municipal Enforcement to be connected to shelters.

St. Albert Transit operators will allow passengers on the bus to cool down for free if they are unable to pay.

Tomorrow, June 6, is a day to raise awareness about the Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Men and Boys. This day started in Edmonton in 2023, thanks to two powerful advocates - Stephanie Harpe and April Eve - who wanted to make sure the voices of Indigenous men and boys weren't left out of the conversation about justice and healing. Wearing a blue jean jacket (or anything blue) is a symbol to show your support for the impacted families and to stand in solidarity with them.
