Join us for an afternoon of stories, crafts, play and teddy bear adventures at the St. Albert Public Library’s Teddy Bear Picnic!

We’ll be bringing a FUNctional Therapy obstacle course where children can move, explore, and have fun alongside their favourite stuffed friends. Families can also enjoy storytime, crafts, teddy bear health checks, freezies, and even meet a giant teddy bear!

Starting private therapy services and not sure where to begin?

Our Initial Consultation, Navigation & Assessment is designed to help families better understand their children’s strengths, needs, and next steps before beginning treatment services.

What’s included:
✨ 1-hour In-Person Session
Meet with a clinician for information gathering, assessment, observation, and a clinical interview
✨Written Summary Report
Receive a summary of observations and clinical findings, along with individualized strategies and recommendations
✨Parent Debrief Session (30-45minutes)
Review the report, recommendations, and next steps with your clinician and have the opportunity to ask questions.

This service can help guide families in deciding the best supports, services, and therapy approach for their child - whether that means moving into treatment or exploring other options.

National Accessibility Week is a time to recognize the importance of building inclusive communities where everyone can fully participate.

Accessibility means removing barriers so people of all abilities can learn, play, and connect with others. This includes physical spaces, communication, and the way programs and services are offered.

This year’s theme, “Reimagining Play, Learning, and Community Through Accessibility”, encourages us to think differently about how we design spaces, activities, and experiences so they are open to all.

Every Body Yoga Adventures is coming this August!

This adapted yoga program is designed for children ages 3-9 with diverse needs – friends and siblings are welcome to register too!

Participants will:
💛Explore basic yoga poses through music and movement
💛Build body awareness, coordination and confidence
💛Enjoy interactive yoga stories and early literacy concepts
💛Use individualized supports like bolsters, blocks, cushions and therapy balls

With adaptations individualized for each child based on information shared before the program begins

Communication devices, walkers, and wheelchairs are welcome.
Parent/caregiver participation required

Led by a Physical Therapist sessions may be eligible to be billed through Physical Therapy benefits.

Building friendships starts with building confidence and connection skills💛

Friendship Finders is a supportive summer group designed to help children:
Develop emotional awareness
Practice turn-taking
Build early peer interaction skills
Participate actively in group settings

Led by a Speech Language Pathologist sessions may be eligible to be billed through Speech & Language Therapy benefits.
