We get many health tests during our lifetime. Get to understand what your bone density scores mean. Here is a simple outline for you to remember:

-If your T-score is -1 or greater: your bone density is considered normal.
-If your T-score is between -1 and -2.5: you have low bone density, known as osteopenia, but not osteoporosis.
-If your T-score is -2.5 or less: you have osteoporosis, even if you haven't yet broken a bone.

This is a very common condition that affects so many patients. Usually time and gentle stretches help, but we can access other causes in the clinic which should be corrected. 😊

1. The wrist: Compression of the median nerve, which extends through the arm and hand, can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome, causing tingling, numbness, and weakness in the hand.

2. The elbow: The ulnar nerve, which extends from the shoulder, through the arm and into the hand, may become compressed, resulting in cubital tunnel syndrome, which often causes tingling or pain in the ring and pinky fingers.

3. The thigh: Pressure on the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, located in the thigh, can cause meralgia paresthetica, leading to burning or numbness on the outer thigh.

4. The heel or sole of the foot: Compression of the tibial nerve in the ankle can result in tarsal tunnel syndrome, causing pain, tingling, or numbness in the foot.
