Therapy skills are most helpful when people know how to use them in real life.

Not just when things are calm.
Not just during a therapy session.
But in the middle of stress, conflict, overwhelm, anxiety, shutdown, crisis, or big emotions.

The DBT PAUSE Packs are self-paced, supportive resources designed to help youth, young adults, and caregivers learn and practice DBT-informed coping skills in a way that feels approachable and practical.

The full series includes:

🌿 Mindfulness — learning to pause, notice, and return to the present moment
🌿 Distress Tolerance — getting through crisis moments without making things worse
🌿 Emotion Regulation — understanding emotions and building steadier days
🌿 Interpersonal Effectiveness — communicating, setting boundaries, and maintaining self-respect
🌿 Walking the Middle Path — finding balance, validation, and flexible thinking

Each pack includes lessons, videos, printable tools, reflection prompts, and practical strategies that can be used at home, between sessions, or while waiting for additional support.

☔ Sunday mornings can be a gentle invitation to slow down.

As we move into another week, I’ve been thinking about the rainy days ahead and how healing does not always need sunshine to begin.

There can be something deeply calming about the sound of rain, the fresh air, and the gentle rhythm of walking while having space to talk, reflect, and breathe.

Walk & Talk Therapy can still be a beautiful option on lighter rain days. We have umbrellas available and can embrace the grounding experience that nature sometimes offers in a different way.
(And in the event of a storm or heavier weather, we can always pivot to an office session.)

If traditional therapy has felt intimidating, or if being outdoors feels more natural for you, Walk & Talk Therapy may be a supportive place to begin.
