Hello everyone and Happy Sunday.
It has been a minute since my last post. Two weeks ago I went for surgery that had complications, leading to a second emergency surgery the following day.
I was in the ICU for a couple of days, followed by over a week of healing in hospital.
I was told that if I hadn’t had the second surgery that within 24-48 hours I would have died.
I am now on an 8-week healing journey in preparation for a second surgery, hopefully in 6 months.
I am 99% in a positive headspace - this is what I truly believe kept me calm while appreciating a sip of water and the feeling of taking a breath again. That and the support from my friends and family, especially my love who was there every single day - even at 4:00 am when I thought that green juice was the only thing that would save me.
I spent the past 7 years healing my mind, which resulted in the publishing of Breaking Through The Fog. After going through this, I can 100% say that your mind is SO powerful in either thinking positively or negatively and how it effects your day and your interactions with others. You have the choice to choose either in every single moment.
In the ICU, I couldn’t open my eyes, but I could still mumble a grateful “thank-you” to all of the staff who helped to save my life.
On that note, I have gained so much more insight for my next book, “After The Fog”, which I will be starting to write during this healing journey. I healed my mind and now it is time for the body to heal.
Be kind to your mind, to your body, and to your soul. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you slow down and take the time to be grateful for the magic we all possess.
