What a great day up at Larch Hills for the Shuswap CMHA Ride don't Hide! Every person who passed me (and there were many) was super kind and supportive!

Full disclosure, as I think transparency is key. I don't normally look this put together, this is thanks to and for their amazing talent.

I think that when we understand our treatment it gives us power. I always tell clients if they don't understand something to tell me and I will explain differently. You should be able to understand what you are getting into - it is your right!

Let me know if you have questions! It is so important to be a part of your own treatment plan.

Got home from my day with Margaret who captured some amazing photos and made me feel so I at ease! Also getting amazing hair and make-up from and couldn't bring myself to remove the make-up before getting proof of how good it looked. I didn't do it justice, but feel so lucky to have had this opportunity, and to have met two fiercely talented women!

I am offering a group for expecting moms to help work through some fears associated with becoming a mom. Including post partum depression, birth traumas, and any other topics those signed up are interested in. There is also the potential to have other experts come and help us understand other ways to prepare for being a parent. A safe place to ask the tough questions while building a community so that when you are in it you have support!

As of today registered clinical counsellors (RCC's) no longer need to charge GST! It is a small step in helping increase access to all, but hopefully it will be the start to many more changes to help make mental health more affordable to all.
