Jesse Henderson is currently completing his clinical training for his Master’s in Counselling. He also holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology. Jesse’s to counselling is grounded in the belief that relationship heals. He understands therapy as a deeply collaborative and creative process, and strives to cultivate a therapeutic relationship shaped by trust, curiosity, authenticity, and compassion. His approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from an array of trauma-informed relational, person-centred, and somatic approaches to respond to the unique needs and experiences of each person.
Jesse brings cultural humility and a systemic lens to his work, recognizing how relationships, identity, culture, community, and broader social contexts shape our experiences and possibilities. He takes a non-pathologizing approach to therapy, understanding difficult symptoms, patterns, and behaviours as meaningful messengers that can point us toward change.
Jesse is committed to his own healing, learning and growth and sees this commitment as an important part of his development as a counsellor. He welcomes the opportunity to work with people navigating life transitions, relationship endings, grief, depression, anxiety, and periods of feeling stuck or uncertain about what comes next.
