I gave an amazing one and a half hour massage to a visiting violinist. At the end of it, she said, "man you've got high-end skills!" I was flattered of course. The thing with violinists, they need quite a lot of work on their hands due to repetitive stress injuries, pushing them selves too hard in the pursuit of excellence i suppose. I think that playing music, as i do daily, guitar, actually helps with massage because not only does it strengthen the fingers and give them almost super human endurance, but it helps to put your heart in touch with your hands in a very sensitive way. Also, violinists, the left shoulder needs more work, and the shoulders in general due to the somewhat un-natural seeming postures that they can take while practicing.
