🦋A heartfelt thank you to Barry Hogan, for donating a day of compassionate care at St. Joseph’s Hospice. In honour of all the Volunteers at Hospice.🦋

Funding a Day of Compassionate Care is more than just a donation, it is a heartfelt contribution that ensures we can continue to offer our community comfort, peace, and exceptional care when they need it the most. Your support enriches our residents and families’ time spent at Hospice during their end-of-life journey, giving them a space to focus on what truly matters.

Daily ‘Care for a Day’ at St. Joseph’s Hospice exceeds $785. With Government funding only covering 56% of the cost per bed per day, we experience a funding shortfall of $345 per bed.

Our $200 Care for a Day Donation helps fund a day of care and bridges the gap to ensure our care continues in the Sarnia Lambton Community.

You can choose to have your donation recognized on our Social Media or remain anonymous. In addition, we will add a butterfly to our Care for a Day board in the Hospice Residence, in recognition of your gift. All donations are eligible for a full tax receipt. You can choose to dedicate a day in memory of a loved one, in honour of someone special, or support a future resident who will need our care.

💙 Thanks to you, we can provide care that truly matters—your support creates a lasting impact.

Together, we are stronger!

On June 23 & 24, 2026, the Ontario Hospice Fund Developers (OHFD) Retreat brought together 51 fundraising professionals representing 26 hospices across Ontario for two inspiring days of learning, collaboration, and connection, graciously hosted by Bethell Hospice Foundation.

The 51 attendees shared ideas, experiences, and best practices, reinforcing that while each hospice serves its own community, we are united by a common purpose: ensuring individuals and families have access to compassionate, dignified hospice care when they need it most.

The retreat strengthened relationships, inspired new ideas, and reinforced the value of working together to advance hospice care across Ontario. A heartfelt thank you to Bethell Hospice Foundation for your warm hospitality and for hosting this year's retreat.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the incredible OHFD Conference Committee. Your countless hours of planning, organization, and dedication made this retreat an outstanding success. We look forward to continuing to learn from one another, support one another, and strengthen hospice care for the individuals and families we are privileged to serve.
