After the news that a school banned a child with autism from participating in a school trip I feel the need to write this. There are boys and girls that no one invites to birthdays for example. There are kids who want to belong to a team but don't get selected because it's more important to win than include these kids. Children with special needs are not weird or strange, they just want what everyone else wants: to be accepted!! Can I ask a question??. Is anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing, like I did for a friend? they also need full love and support.

Larry Edmonds and I are VERY relieved to have BOBkat Goldthwaite and KatNIS Everdeen back in our house. We'd like to thank all of you for your messages of support and suggestions for how to re-capture our felines.

Recognizing some of you have not had your four leggeds return home after "escaping", we know we are very lucky. Because that's really all it is. Luck. There could have been a big dog close by. Or a coyote. Perhaps a larger, more aggressive cat. A car on the road. An evil human. We were very lucky.

Having said that, I have to admit the speed at which my emotions changed this week fascinates me. I cried my heart out Wednesday and was still a bit weepy on Saturday. But about 30 minutes after Larry said both cats were in the house very early Sunday morning, I was looking at KatNIS and thought, "You little s**t! You are soooo grounded."

I don't think we might have been celebrating as much without the help of everyone who responded. IF you are ever missing one of your pets, please consider contacting P.J. Wilson. She is fierce in her determination to capture and return errant four-leggeds. Thank you Paula Smith de Bock for recommending her. Sarnia-Lambton Lost & Found Pets is also an invaluable resource. Our neighbour, Stanley Fletcher, saw BOB heading into our backyard and his (Better Half) Terri Domingue relayed that information to us.
