How to Freeze Your Old Dentures Safely

If you need to store your dentures in the freezer, following these simple steps will help protect them from damage:

1. Clean your dentures thoroughly.
Before freezing, gently brush your dentures to remove any food particles, plaque, or debris.
2. Keep them submerged in water.
Place your clean dentures in a small resealable plastic bag and add enough water to completely cover them. Remove as much air as possible before sealing the bag securely.
3.Store them in the freezer.
Place the sealed bag flat in the freezer, where the dentures will remain protected during storage.
4. Allow them to thaw naturally.
When you're ready to wear your dentures again, remove the bag from the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature until the water has completely thawed. Avoid using a microwave, hot water, or other heat sources to speed up the process, as rapid temperature changes can cause the acrylic to crack or warp.
