🩸 World Blood Donor Day 2026
One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.
📍 14 June 2026 | Global
On June 14, we recognize World Blood Donor Day, a global initiative by the World Health Organization (WHO) to honour voluntary, unpaid blood donors whose generosity helps save millions of lives every year.
This year’s theme, “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.”, highlights how every donation is an act of compassion and solidarity. From emergencies and surgeries to childbirth, cancer treatment, and ongoing care, blood donations play a vital role in health care systems everywhere.
Despite advances in safety and transfusion services, safe blood still depends on regular, voluntary donors around the world.
💉 This campaign aims to:
• Encourage regular, voluntary blood donation
• Raise awareness of the life-saving impact of blood and plasma donation
• Recognize and thank blood donors globally
• Support stronger, safer blood systems for all
Together, we can help ensure safe blood is available for everyone, everywhere, whenever it is needed.

We’re excited to introduce Jacob with a fun caricature spotlight! 💙

As a Nurse Educator with Rapids Family Health Team, Jacob supports individuals across a variety of health programs, helping them achieve their wellness goals and improve their quality of life. 😊

Jacob works closely with our MINT Memory Clinic team, providing support to older adults experiencing memory concerns and helping connect them with the care and resources they need. He also assists individuals who are committed to quitting smoking through the STOP Program, offering education, encouragement, and guidance throughout their journey.

As a Certified Respiratory Educator, Jacob is passionate about promoting lung health and supporting individuals living with COPD and other respiratory conditions.
