It’s been a while, so I thought I would reintroduce the face behind Willown Counselling 🤍
My name is Stephanie. I am a Métis counsellor, social worker, doctoral student, mother, business owner, and proud dog mom to Maverick.
My journey has not been a straight line, and honestly, that is what allows me to connect with people in real and meaningful ways. I am a recovering addict, a high school dropout turned PhD student in Indigenous Education, and someone who has learned many of life’s lessons through lived experience, healing, and growth.
For over six years, Willown Counselling has been built on the belief that people deserve safe spaces where they feel seen, heard, valued, and supported exactly as they are. Whether someone is navigating trauma, addiction, grief, burnout, identity, relationships, or simply trying to reconnect with themselves I want them to know they do not have to walk through it alone.
I continue to invest in ongoing education, cultural learning, and professional development so I can continue showing up as the best counsellor possible for the individuals, families, and communities I serve. My work is deeply rooted in compassion, relational care, Indigenous ways of knowing, and meeting people where they are at in their healing journey.
Outside of counselling, you’ll usually find me spending time with my daughters, travelling, being near the water, or soaking up life with Maverick by my side.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, supported Willown Counselling, referred clients, shared posts, or followed along throughout the years. Your support means more than you know. 🤍
