Meet our 2026 Impact Award recipient: Larry Labbe!

Lung Saskatchewan is proud to recognize Larry with the Emerson Olain Award at our 2026 Fall Impact Luncheon presented by Careica Health.

Diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2022, Larry experienced firsthand how challenging life with lung disease can be. In August 2024, he received a life-changing double-lung transplant. After returning home, he was able to walk up his stairs without stopping, something that had once felt impossible.

Today, Larry gives back as a Lung Saskatchewan Ambassador, sharing his story to raise awareness about pulmonary fibrosis, lung transplantation and the importance of organ donation.

Larry’s willingness to share his experience and support others on their lung health journeys reflects the impact one person can make in their community.

RSV isn't just a seasonal sniffle.

It can lead to serious illness, especially for older adults, infants, and people living with certain health conditions. Knowing your risk and talking with your healthcare provider can help you and your loved ones take steps to stay protected.
