🏆 Garnet Forreiter Memorial Sportsmanship Award 🏆

Prairieland is proud to recognize a 4-H participant who embodies the values Garnet Forreiter championed throughout his life, leadership, integrity, sportsmanship, and respect for others. 💚

For more than 20 years, Garnet was a dedicated supporter of the Saskatoon Regional 4-H Show and Junior Ag Showcase. Whether working behind the scenes, assisting at the steer sale, or cheering on exhibitors from the stands, he was known for his encouragement, kindness, and unwavering support of youth in agriculture.

Nominees will be observed throughout their time at Junior Ag Showcase, with the recipient selected based on how they demonstrate the spirit of 4-H both in and out of the ring.

📍 The award will be presented July 6, 2026, during the Beef Awards at Junior Ag Showcase.

We look forward to honouring a young leader who reflects the character, sportsmanship, and positivity that Garnet was known for. 🌾

What a day. 💛🐴
Today’s first day of The Equine Experience was filled with curious questions, gentle first meetings, meaningful learning, and moments that reminded us why we wanted to do this.

From kids brushing and leading horses for the very first time, to families watching demonstrations, to visitors soaking up practical horsemanship and horse‑care knowledge — today was about connection, confidence, and discovery.

We saw:
Brave first steps in the barn
Focused learning in the arena
Horses doing what they do best — teaching us quietly and honestly
Smiles that told us memories were being made

And this is only the beginning.

Mirror Image Vaulters are bringing the art of equestrian vaulting to the Ag Centre Arena.

Combining gymnastics and dance on the back of a moving horse, vaulting is a breathtaking display of strength, balance, creativity, and teamwork. Watch as athletes perform both structured movements and freestyle routines to music, all while working in harmony with their equine partner in a controlled circle.
