Long term care that feels like home. Sherbrooke is like any small village in Saskatchewan where everyday life goes on around us.

We are home to 263 Elders, 100 Community Day Program participants, 500 volunteers, families, friends, students, and over 500 staff. Ours is a community of people with normal aspirations, dreams and a desire to live life to the fullest. At Sherbrooke, Elders work, play, worship, paint, garden, volunteer. Come on in, browse around and visit with some of the people in our community. We have lots to tell you about our lives.

We are excited to be in Wednesday's Saskatoon EX parade and hope to see you out cheering for all of the floats taking part in the event.

One of our amazing volunteers, Norma Huston, recently reminded us of Sherbrooke's long history of participating in parades. She shared these photos of Sherbrooke residents and staff beautifully decorated for various parades from 1980 to 1982.

Thank you for sharing these memories with us, Norma, and we will see you at 10am tomorrow morning at the Saskatoon Ex parade!

In what is becoming a summer tradition, Tim spent an afternoon at Silverwood Golf Course with Sherbrooke physiotherapist, Lindsey Gerwing-Lovick, and her two children!

Tim loves golfing and is never shy about sharing tips to golfers of all ages.

Today, Tim was given the challenge of correcting the slice of Sherbrooke’s Communications Leader, Eric Anderson. Tim tried his best and Eric showed a little bit of improvement!

Tim was able to hit and putt balls today thanks to the SoloRider Golf Cart! A big thank you to Golf Saskatchewan (GS) and the Silverwood staff for their continued support of our golf excursions.

A huge thank you to everyone who made yesterday’s Sherbrooke Car Show such a smashing success!

Elders, staff, families, and volunteers sure enjoyed looking at cars, trucks, and motorcycles spanning generations, and it was wonderful to hear the conversations these vehicles sparked throughout the afternoon.

Thank you to all of the vehicle owners for not only sharing their prized possessions with our community, but the stories behind them as well!

A big thank you to Marlo and Everett for welcoming us into their beautiful home last week!

Marlo and Everett’s home overlooks Lake Diefenbaker and we were excited to go on an excursion to experience the beauty of the lake.

Everett, Muriel, Leo, and Pearl from Veterans Village, as well as Michelle and Brooklyn, made the trip and were greeted with open arms by Marlo! The crew enjoyed a delicious lunch and spent the afternoon watching the sailboats on Lake Diefenbaker.

It was a perfect summer day and we want to thank Marlo and Everett for inviting us!

We love this story!

12 years ago, Matt did a very hard thing by giving up smoking. Sherbrooke Elders and staff were there to support him, including Occupational Therapy Assistant, Rona Andreas.

Matt and Rona decided that every July 14th, the day Matt stopped smoking, they would celebrate with a Dairy Queen blizzard from the DQ on 8th Street!

Last Tuesday, Matt and Rona kept their tradition going with blizzards! This year, it was Matt’s turn to buy😀

You never know who or what you might see at Sherbrooke!

Our Quality of Life Manager, Angela Del Frari, brought her family and her family of farm animals to Sherbrooke this week much to the delight of Elders, families and staff!

A huge thank you to Angela and her family for sharing their lovely animals with our community!

Angela Del Frari is our Quality of Life Manager and has a passion for animals. She and her family shared that passion today by bringing several of their farm animals to Sherbrooke!

It was a really amazing day, and we will be sharing photos this weekend on our page, but we wanted to post this video of Angela introducing us to her family and her animals today😀

Our front patio was packed as the Canadian Forces Snowbirds flew over Saskatoon this morning!

We had a pretty good view of the flyover, and you can hear lots of cheering in the background of this video.
