Team Member Tuesday: this week we are highlighting Dr. Rikki!
We asked Dr. Rikki how she incorporates self care into her daily routine:
“As you can tell by the video, our house is rarely quiet. I try to incorporate small things into my daily routine that I consider self care, as time to myself isn’t always feasible:
1. Workouts - Rather than thinking about it as something to cross off my to do list, I have changed my mindset to thinking about it as ‘me’ time. I am enjoying my workouts a lot more now!
2. Going outside - getting outside with my boys always helps improve my mood!
3. Reading - to be honest, I only just started reading (books that aren’t business/parenting related) again in February and am loving it!
4. Matcha - if I am stressed/overwhelmed/exhausted, a matcha latte always changes my mindset!
5. Music - changing the music from the constantly requested Blue Jays or Hot Wheels playlists to my ‘chill’ playlist gives me a sense of self care. At least until the boys notice I changed the music and beg to change it back.”
