I'm just happy,
don't you want to be happy ?

There’s a reason we’re told not to make decisions when we’re heated.

When water is boiling, it’s chaotic, moving too fast, and completely distorted. If you tried to look at your reflection in it, you wouldn’t see yourself clearly, you’d see a warped version of reality.

Our minds work the exact same way.

When we’re angry, triggered, or emotionally flooded, our thoughts are boiling. Everything feels urgent. Everything feels personal. Everything feels like it needs to be reacted to right now.

But truth doesn’t live in that state.

Anger isn’t always wrong, it can actually be a powerful signal that something matters to you. But it’s not the place where clarity lives.

Clarity comes when the emotional temperature drops.

When you pause.
When you breathe.
When you allow the water to settle.

Suddenly what felt confusing becomes obvious.
What felt personal becomes understandable.
And what felt like chaos becomes a lesson.

Not every moment in life requires an immediate reaction. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is let the water calm.

Because the truth has always been there…
you just needed stillness to see it.

Good morning sassy spirit junkies !
I came across this meme this morning and well… it’s me to the nines with my eldest son.
And sorry not sorry, I understand why it’s hard for him to focus during school.

Our schooling system was designed a long time ago for structure, obedience, and routine, not necessarily for the way real humans actually learn, grow, and experience life. Most kids are expected to sit still for hours, absorb information the same way, at the same pace, in the same environment… even though every mind works differently.

From a spiritual perspective, humans aren’t wired to just sit and memorize. We’re curious beings. We learn through movement, creativity, exploration, conversation, and experience. Our energy naturally wants to flow, question, imagine, and create meaning… not just follow instructions and repeat information.

Some kids are thinkers.
Some are builders.
Some are visionaries.
Some need movement.
Some need quiet.
Some learn by doing, not listening.

And yet the system often measures intelligence in only one narrow way.

To me, when a child struggles to focus in that kind of environment, it doesn’t always mean something is wrong with the child. Sometimes it means their spirit, their mind, and their natural way of learning just doesn’t fit inside a box that was never built for them in the first place.

As parents, I think part of our role is helping our kids remember that their curiosity, imagination, and unique way of seeing the world is actually a strength, not a flaw.

Some of the most aware, creative, and successful people were the ones who couldn’t sit still in classrooms. And even dropped out of school 🤷‍♀️

Just saying. 😌✨

Have you ever noticed that when you buy a new car, suddenly you see that exact model everywhere ?

It’s not that the cars magically appeared overnight — they were always there. Your brain just became tuned to notice them.

That’s the power of focus.

Our minds work like a filter. Whatever we consistently direct our attention toward begins to stand out more in our world.
When we focus on gratitude, we start noticing more things to be grateful for.
When we focus on opportunities, we begin to see doors we might have missed before.
When we focus on our strengths, those strengths grow stronger.

Now, this doesn’t mean problems aren’t real or that everyone’s circumstances are the same. Some challenges are very real, heavy, and valid. This also isn’t about pretending difficulties don’t exist.

It’s about choosing where most of your mental energy goes.

Because the truth is: what we focus on shapes how we experience our lives.

If we only focus on limitations, our world starts to feel smaller.
But when we allow ourselves to look for possibilities — even small ones — our perspective begins to expand.

Focus doesn’t change everything overnight.
But it does change what we notice, what we believe is possible, and the actions we take next.

And those small shifts… can change a lot.

One thing I’ve learned in life is if someone wants to understand you, they will.

Sometimes we think if we just explain ourselves better, say it again, or add more details, people will finally understand us.

But the truth is… people usually heard you the first time.
When someone consistently ignores what you’ve already expressed, over-communicating stops being connection and starts becoming a form of seeking validation from someone who isn’t willing to give it.

Say what you mean.
Say it clearly.
And if someone keeps ignoring it, believe the message in their actions.
And respect yourself enough to stop over-explaining.
