To know me is to know that I love to cook. I completed a program in Baking and Pastry Arts and I never show up to an event empty handed. Today I have a simple, warming crostini to help you through those long days of breastfeeding. The best part about this recipe is that it can be adjusted to your tastes or the ingredients you have. As your postpartum doula, I can whip up a warming crostini or any other postpartum snacks and meals your body needs for healing. This snack is easy to make, delicious to eat, and can provide you with the nutrients the postpartum body needs!
Whole wheat baguette
Fig preserves (or any jam)
Brie cheese (or your favourite cheese)
Apple slices
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Slice the baguette into disks
Spread fig preserves on one side of the baguette
Slice pieces of brie cheese about the size of the baguette rounds and place on top of the baguette and fig preserves
Place apple slices on top of the cheese
Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and baguette is crunchy
Enjoy!
