It's OFFICIALLY Spring in Batchawana Bay!

The Voyageurs' Lodge opened it's doors a few days ago and the fritters are back for the 2026 season! I decided to go for a quick hike today in Lake Superior Provincial Park and figured I stop on my way back to grab a fritter instead of on my way there. I was bummed when I walked up to the door and the white board said "Fritters Sold Out For The Day" - but I got lucky as the gas attendant, Rob, came out of the store, flipped the sign around and told me that a fresh batch had just been made. Lucky me!! A fritter straight out of the fryer and into my hand a moment later.
