We're hiring an Administrative Assistant for our Primary Care Network!

This is a part-time hybrid position that's based on the lower Sunshine Coast.

The practical, varied role is for someone who is excellent with details, comfortable supporting multiple people, and confident coordinating meetings from the first calendar invitation through to the final set of minutes. The position reports to the Director of PCN and Shared Care, who will coordinate priorities in consultation with the broader Division team.

Grateful for Dr. Forgie's work and that of all physicians across the Coast!

The work of a family doctor is dynamic and requires adaptability to support the shifting needs of patients. For Dr. Karen Forgie the diverse nature of being a family doctor is what fuels her. As she stated, “The breadth of care we provide, from birth to death, simple and complex is what I find most rewarding as a family doctor.”

We thank Dr. Forgie and all family physicians across BC for all they do to support their patients.

The Division extends its condolences to Dr. Erin Naidoo's family, the clinic, and the community.

Dear Patients,

It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the sudden passing of

Dr. Erin Naidoo.

He was a dedicated physician who cared deeply for his patients. We have not only lost a valued member of our community, but also a friend and a father.

We understand that this news may come as a shock and that you will have questions regarding your ongoing medical care. Currently, we are doing our best to ensure that all of Dr. Naidoo's patients continue to receive uninterrupted medical care. If you are Dr. Naidoo's patient, you will have received an e-mail today with further instructions. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff.

As this is a trying time for our clinic staff, as well as for Dr. Naidoo's patient panel, we ask for your kindness and patience during this process as we navigate this transition.

This past Sunday, our Division took part in Pride Festival Day on the lower Sunshine Coast. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and shared information about what you look for in a primary care physician or nurse practitioner.

On BC Family Doctor Day, we want to recognize the amazing work physicians do here on the Lower Sunshine Coast.

We are grateful for the compassion and dedication that physicians show patients every day, which is a foundational part of our health care system. Many of them serve multiple roles, going above and beyond to care for people in our community.
