Why Mallory recommends this book:
This book not only captures the raw emotion of profound grief and provides a language for the confusion, pain, and emotional turmoil that often accompany loss, but it also creates space for honest wrestling with the goodness of God in the midst of suffering. Rather than offering easy answers, Lewis shares his experience as he struggles to reconcile his faith with loss, demonstrating the ways grief and faith coexist.

Asking for Help in a Small Town Isn’t Always Easy

In a close-knit community, it can feel hard to reach out. You might worry about privacy, being seen, or what others might think.

But needing support is part of being human—not a weakness.

Whether you're dealing with stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or just feeling off… you don’t have to carry it alone.

Support can still be:
• Confidential
• Respectful
• Centered on you

You deserve a space where you can talk openly and feel understood.

Conflict, when handled in healthy ways, can strengthen relationships—not break them.
When people feel heard, respected, and willing to work through challenges together, conflict becomes an opportunity for growth, deeper understanding, and greater connection.
It’s not about avoiding conflict—it’s about navigating it in a way that builds unity.

Communication can be challenging.

Let’s be real… expressing how we feel isn’t always easy. Whether it’s fear of conflict, not knowing the right words, or past experiences, communication can feel overwhelming.

A simple tool that can help create more understanding is:
“I feel… when… because…”
Example:
“I feel hurt when I’m interrupted because it makes me feel like what I’m saying doesn’t matter.”

Why this helps:
• It keeps the focus on your experience
• It lowers defensiveness in others
• It opens the door for real understanding

You don’t have to get it perfect—just starting the conversation in a clear, honest way can make a difference.

It’s easy to forget that what we see online is often a highlight reel—not the full story.

Constant comparison on social media can quietly impact our mental health. It can lead to feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, and the sense that we’re somehow “behind” in life. But the truth is, everyone is navigating challenges we don’t always see.

If you notice yourself comparing, try this:
• Pause and check in with how you’re feeling
• Remind yourself that posts are curated, not complete
• Take breaks from scrolling when needed
• Focus on your own values, pace, and progress

You don’t have to measure your life against someone else’s moments.

If social media is starting to affect your well-being, it might be helpful to talk it through with someone. Support is here, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Taking a few minutes to pause and reflect can make a meaningful difference in your mental well-being. Journaling is a simple, powerful tool that helps you slow down, process your thoughts, and reconnect with yourself.

Benefits of journaling:
✨ Helps process and regulate emotions
✨ Reduces stress and mental overwhelm
✨ Increases self-awareness and insight
✨ Supports problem-solving and decision-making
✨ Creates a sense of clarity and control
✨ Encourages mindfulness and grounding

Here are a few prompts to guide you today:

🖊️ What has been weighing on my mind lately?
🖊️ What emotions have I been avoiding or pushing aside?
🖊️ What is one thing I need more of in my life right now?
🖊️ What does feeling “at peace” look like for me?
🖊️ What is something I can let go of today?
🖊️ What am I grateful for, even in difficult moments?

There’s no right or wrong way to journal—just start where you are and be honest with yourself.

If you’re finding it hard to navigate things on your own, support is available. You don’t have to do it alone.

Overthinking can feel exhausting—like your mind won’t let you rest, replaying conversations, worrying about “what ifs,” or trying to predict every possible outcome.

While thinking things through can be helpful, overthinking often keeps us stuck rather than moving forward.

A few ways to gently manage overthinking:
• Notice when your thoughts start to spiral—awareness is the first step
• Ask yourself: “Is this helpful right now?”
• Set a time limit for problem-solving, then give yourself permission to step away
• Ground yourself in the present (what can you see, hear, or feel right now?)
• Practice self-compassion—your mind is trying to protect you, even if it feels overwhelming

You don’t have to silence your thoughts—you can learn how to respond to them differently.
