Your desk setup matters more than you think. 💻

Poor workstation set-up can lead to neck pain, back stiffness, headaches, and fatigue.

Small changes, such as adjusting screen height, using chair supports, and taking frequent movement breaks, can significantly reduce strain on your spine.

Think standing all day is better for your back than sitting? 🧍‍♂️

Not necessarily.

Researchers found that low back pain increased after about 60 minutes of standing, regardless of whether participants stood on a hard or soft surface, used insoles, or changed between static and dynamic standing.

The takeaway? Your body likes variety. If your job requires prolonged standing, make it a point to change positions, take movement breaks, and avoid staying in any one posture for too long.

It's time to talk about snacks... 🍎

Exercise snacks.

These are short bouts of movement sprinkled throughout the day, like:

🚶 A quick walk
🧘 A few stretches
🏃 Taking the stairs
💪 A set of simple exercises

A recent review found that brief movement breaks may help reduce neck, back, and muscle discomfort that often accompany long periods of sitting.

The best part? You don't need an hour-long workout.

Sometimes a few minutes of movement can be enough to break up your day and help your body feel better. ⏱️

When most people think about back pain, they think about muscles, joints, and posture. 🦴

But a recent study suggests the picture may be bigger than that.

Researchers found that poor metabolic health and unhealthy lifestyle habits were associated with greater odds of low back pain and pain-related disability.

Physical inactivity was among the strongest factors associated with both neck and back pain. 🚶‍♂️

Pain doesn't occur in a vacuum. What happens outside the clinic can be just as important as what happens inside it.

That's why our approach combines movement, exercise, and hands-on care with discussions about the other factors that may influence recovery.

Your neck pain might not actually be coming from your neck… 🤔

Most people assume neck pain always means the problem is in the neck itself, but sometimes the real issue starts a little lower in the midback.

Because the neck and upper back work together, thoracic spine stiffness can place extra stress on the neck and affect movement. Research found that midback chiropractic adjustments improved neck pain, mobility, and daily function 🙌
