Community Challenge: Supporting Dignity for All Women ๐Ÿ’œ

The Dze L Kโ€™ant Friendship Centre Society board and staff are launching a special challenge for the months of August and September, and we need your support!

Our goal is to ensure that no woman in our community has to worry about the cost of essential hygiene items. We believe that access to basic hygiene is a matter of dignity, health, and equality.

Our Goal:
We are challenging ourselves to see how many women in our community we can support with free hygiene products over the next two months. We want to ensure that every woman has the opportunity to access these items at no cost.

Need support?
If you would like to receive these products, please come by and see Selena at the front desk. They are available for free to all women in our community.

Letโ€™s ensure everyone has what they need to feel comfortable and cared for.

๐Ÿ’› Wishing Jaden All the Best on Her Next Chapter! ๐ŸŽ“

We are sad to see our Community Connection Worker, Jaden, leave us as she heads off to school, but we are also incredibly happy and proud of her as she takes this exciting next step in her journey! ๐Ÿ’

Jaden has brought so much compassion, dedication, and care to her role. As a Community Connection Worker, she provided person-centred support that promoted inclusion, independence, and self-determination, while helping individuals navigate CLBC systems and community services.

She worked alongside individuals, families, and service providers to support coordinated planning and helped people work toward their personal, social, vocational, and volunteer goals. Most importantly, Jaden approached her work with dignity, cultural safety, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality care. โค๏ธ

We are truly grateful for everything Jaden has contributed to our Friendship Centre and the people we serve. While we will miss having her as part of our team, we are so excited to see where this next chapter takes her!

๐ŸŽ“ Good luck with school, Jaden! We are cheering you on every step of the way! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒŸ

With love from your Friendship Centre family!
