My mission is to teach and spread the knowledge of the healing properties of plants, in order for them to be an integral part of our modern lives. Originally from Montréal, I started exploring other cultures in my teen years. Throughout my multiple voyages, I realized I was consistently drawn to the older women of the communities I was part of. Often, they were the wise elders who knew about the m
edicinal properties of plants and the profound connections we have with Nature. I worked on many different sustainable, permaculture oriented farms and became a leader in managing their food and their medicine. After years of self-teaching and gathering multicultural knowledge, I decided to go back to school and complete the Community Herbalist Certificate offered at Pacific Rim College, in British Columbia. The four-month certificate was eye opening and gave me the ambition to start my own business. Les herbes Violette - Violette herbs were then born. It was a great learning experience, but I felt the need to deepen my practice and gather more knowledge to help a wider range of people and health issues. I then decided to enroll in the Phytotherapy diploma which gave me the confidence to become a medical herbalist and hold space for patients through consultations. My passion for botanical medicine motivates me to keep following the health practitioner journey I have been on for the last few years. My love for farming brought me to grow most of the herbs I use in my practice, which is to me a vital part of being an herbalist. I am still working with patients I met throughout my business; with the intention of widening my clientele by becoming a herbal medicine farmer supplying local herbalists.
