For those moments when you wanna assume it’s biceps or deltoid-it’s probably teres minor!

Did you know a spasm in teres minor can pull the whole head of the humerus into the posterior inferior part of the glenoid fossa—leaving a nasty gap at the anterior superior part of the joint—that creates a nice pinch in the subdeltoid bursa when the arm is raised?! Yayyy!

One of the keys to treating subdeltoid bursitis, frozen shoulder, and pain at the point of shoulder is to first release the spasm in teres minor followed by recentering the humerus in the glenoid fossa.

Do you treat the 8 fascial crossroads in the body?

They’re critical areas to assess and treat—yet most practitioners aren’t looking at them.

In elegant osteopathy all the horizontal planes of the body are considered diaphragms-that act like pressure junctions and are literally fascial crossroads.

These 8 horizontal pressure regulators are places where tension, pressure, fluid dynamics, and fascial relationships can meet and redistribute-and influence what’s happening above and below.

Can you guess where & what they are?

If you’d like to learn how to treat things they never taught you in school-and get results you’ve never gotten before, join me in October.

Pec work is non-negotiable.

This is one of my favorite ways to work the pec fascia, and it’s super effective with quick results.

Start with the client’s hands resting on their stomach, so they’re starting in pronation. As I load into the pec fascia, they supinate their arms and slowly reach overhead while I maintain that fascial load inferiorly.

Then I release and they return to the starting position and we repeat with each stroke.

It’s essentially strip + stretch + movement — allowing the tissue to lengthen while the shoulder moves through a bigger range.

Simple. Effective. And it feels SO good.

Because sometimes the tissue doesn’t need more force.
It needs movement, space, and someone actually listening not forcing.

If you’re looking to create greater results with less effort join me in Calgary for my 2 day advanced massage training.

We’re sitting more than ever — and our low backs are paying for it.

Hours spent folded forward. Spines living in flexion. Diaphragms not moving. Psoas and QL adapting to a body that rarely explores its full range anymore.

And all of that changes how pressure and load are managed through the entire spine.

So when someone walks in with low-back pain, I’m not just rubbing where it hurts.

I’m asking:

What is pulling on the front of the spine?
What isn’t moving?
What is the body compensating for?

In Unwinding the Low Back, we work with the diaphragm, psoas, QL and the relationships between them — learning to investigate instead of guess.

Stop chasing pain. Start asking the body.

Same curiosity. Same weird body connections. A whole lot more of what the body has taught me since this began.

Come follow me over there. ❤️

The body already knows. We just have to learn how to listen.
