Late summer has its own rhythm. 🌻
In Chinese Medicine, late summer is associated with the Earth element and the Spleen, a system closely connected with digestion, energy, and the transformation of food and fluids.
It’s also a season associated with Dampness, which can show up as that heavy, sluggish feeling: brain fog, fatigue, bloating, loose stools, congestion, or just feeling a little weighed down.
This is a good time of year to keep things simple, warm cooked foods, regular meals, gentle movement, enough rest, and fewer cold or iced foods.
Sometimes, the shift between seasons asks us to slow down a little. 🍂
