At The Face MD, we treat patients, not clients.

Many of the treatments we provide involve prescription-only medications, including neuromodulators such as Botox. Just like any other prescription medication, there is never a “one size fits all” approach.

Every face is different, every medical history is different, and every desired outcome is different. That’s why a full medical consultation is always carried out before treatment. We take time to understand your medical background, discuss your goals, and create a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

A good comparison is blood pressure medication; some people require only a very small dose, while others may need more to achieve the desired effect. Neuromodulators are exactly the same. Someone with very strong muscle movement or deeper lines may naturally require a different dose to someone looking for a very subtle result.

Safe, ethical and individualised treatment will always come first at The Face MD.

“If you could only choose ONE aesthetic treatment, what would it be?” 🤍

Honestly… it completely depends on your personal goals.

Are you wanting to improve pigmentation?
Refine skin texture?
Look a little less tired and more refreshed?
Or are you looking for overall rejuvenation?

There’s never a one-size-fits-all answer, which is exactly why consultations are so important. We take the time to discuss not only your goals, but also your budget. Life is expensive and aesthetic treatments should feel realistic, tailored, and achievable for you.

And no matter what treatment you choose, you need to protect your investment 👏

My skincare ABCs are always:

A — Vitamin A (retinol)
B — Broad-spectrum sunscreen
C — Vitamin C serum

Consistent skincare will always be the foundation of healthy, glowing skin ✨

Transparency, always 🤍

I get asked a lot what I’ve had done… so here it is. No filters, no gatekeeping.

This isn’t a checklist! You don’t need all (or any) of these treatments. In clinic, it’s always about your goals (and your budget).

For me, it’s consistency over time. Subtle, natural tweaks that keep you looking like you, just more refreshed.

And I only offer treatments I’ve tried myself so I speak from experience, not just science.

(And yes- I forgot PRP! I also offer and have had PRP under my eyes… total game changer 👀✨)

You, but refreshed ✨

A little more about my background because I truly believe this matters when it comes to your face.

I’m a GP and ER doctor, and over the past few years I’ve trained internationally in aesthetic medicine across the UK, Canada and the US. I’ve also had the privilege of working as an educator with in Canada, alongside running my own clinic, The Face MD.

When choosing an injector, it’s not just about titles. It’s about training, experience, and understanding. A medical background alone doesn’t automatically make someone a great injector, but a deep knowledge of facial anatomy, structure, and complications is absolutely essential.

Every face is different, and even in the most experienced hands, complications can occur. What matters is that the person treating you understands how to assess, treat, and manage these safely.

For me, aesthetics has always been about delivering natural, subtle results but safely, and with integrity.

Retinol… one of the most talked about ingredients in skincare, and for good reason ✨

It boosts collagen, improves skin texture, helps with pigmentation and fine lines… basically your skin’s long-term best friend.

But what about retinol vs tretinoin?

Retinol = over-the-counter, gentler, slower results
Tretinoin = prescription strength, works faster, but can be more irritating

Both work, it just depends on your skin, your goals, and how much downtime you’re willing to tolerate.

Start low, go slow, and ALWAYS wear SPF (non-negotiable ☀️)

…and yes, one of these days I will film one of these videos with my hair and makeup actually done (but post-run real life is what you’re getting for now 😂🏃‍♀️)

Keeping it real… this is me, first thing in the morning, still in my pyjamas 😂

Morning skincare doesn’t need to be complicated but it does need to be effective.

Cleanse properly (and for long enough!) to remove overnight oil + buildup so your products can actually work.

Vitamin C next; your daily antioxidant boost for protection + collagen support.

And then SPF. Non-negotiable.
Protects against skin cancer, yes, but also wrinkles, pigmentation + collagen breakdown.

Simple. Consistent. Results.

Starting again… just in a different country this time. 🇨🇦 ➡️🇬🇧

I’m Dr. Sarah Hodges; aesthetic medicine physician, GP & ER doctor (former British Army doctor).

I’ve swapped Canada for the UK, brought three children and a dog along for the ride, and I’m rebuilding my aesthetics clinic from scratch.

Expect the real behind-the-scenes. The wins, the wobbles, and everything that comes with starting over.

Alongside that, I’ll be sharing regular education on aesthetic medicine, health and longevity because everything I do is grounded in science, not trends.

If there’s something you’re curious about, want explained, or just want to see more of , please let me know - my DMs are always open ✨

Same person.
8 years apart.

34:
No SPF.
No Botox.
No fillers.
Just vibes… and some very tired looking skin.

42:
Daily Vitamin C, retinol & SPF
Botox 4x a year
Yearly fillers
Microneedling + Sculptra

Turns out the boring advice actually works:
consistency with skincare + a few well-placed treatments.

And the most important part…
This isn’t from one treatment or one appointment.
It’s the result of years of consistent skincare and maintenance.

Not about looking different.
Just looking like a well-rested version of yourself. ✨
