Much of what we believe about ourselves did not originate within us. Women are often shaped by internalized voices, expectations, and perspectives that quietly condition how we see ourselves and what we believe we are allowed to be.

Part of becoming the sovereign authority of our own life requires decolonizing the psyche — recognizing the ways these inherited narratives have distanced us from our authentic nature.

As we begin to see these patterns clearly, something important happens: we become more free, more rooted, and more aligned with who we truly are.

This clip is from a recent talk I gave in partnership with .

Something important is rising in our time. Many women are feeling the call to step into a deeper form of authority — the archetypal energy of the Sovereign Queen.

Not power over others, but the grounded presence, instinct, and clarity that emerge when women reclaim their voice, their boundaries, and their capacity to lead from wisdom.

I believe the world deeply needs this balancing force of the feminine now — a wisdom that has lived in shadow for far too long.

This clip is from a recent talk I gave in partnership with (Jung Archademy).

For women who feel called to explore this work more deeply, the Sovereign Queen Circle begins May 6.

At a certain stage of life, many women begin to feel a powerful instinct rising within them. A refusal to live inside stories that were written for them.

In my last post, I told the dream of the tiger that appeared as an image of that instinct — the sovereign energy that emerges when a woman begins reclaiming the authority to tell her own life’s story.

This instinct often awakens as we loosen the ways the psyche has been shaped by patriarchy and remember that our life — and our narrative — belongs to us. We are each the author and authority of our own narratives.

If this exploration calls to you, you are warmly invited to go deeper.

The Sovereign Queen Circle begins May 6.

Last week with Jung Archademy we explored a dream image that stayed with me: carrying a tiger.

In dreams, a tiger can represent instinct, power, and the untamed force of life moving through us. In the dream, I wasn’t running from it—I was carrying it.

What does it mean to hold our instinct rather than fear it? o meet the part of ourselves that knows how to lead, protect, and stand in quiet authority?

This is the threshold of the Sovereign Queen—the archetype of inner authority, self-trust, and mature feminine power.

The talk was a lively evening of reflection, dream work, and embodied exercises.
Next week, we begin the closed Sovereign Queen group, a deeper intensive into this archetype and the instincts that support it.

If you feel the tiger stirring in your own life…

Between the Mother and the Crone

The emergence of sovereignty often occurs during the years of roughly 45-65. Psychologically, this stage sits between two archetypal phases of a woman’s life. The outward years of motherhood, caretaking, and responsibility may be receding. Yet the later wisdom of the crone has not fully formed.

Between these two stages, a new figure begins to emerge. The Sovereign Queen.

She represents a woman learning to live from her own center. Her authority comes from lived experience, self-awareness, and a growing trust in her own knowing. She is less defined by roles and external approval or validation. She is a woman who is whole in herself.

This stage marks the gradual emergence of a grounded, discerning presence that can move through the world with clarity and inner authority.

The Emergence of the Mature Feminine

Women in mature relationship with the archetypal feminine have lived long enough to see clearly how social systems and expectations have shaped their lives, including their family roles, cultural ideals, professional structures, and relationships. I hesitate to use the word “patriarchal systems” as it too easily gets conflated with “men,” However, over time, a woman becomes increasingly conscious of these social systems and how they have influenced her psyche and life. She has done reflective work to decolonize her own psyche.

Sovereignty does not mean rejecting society. It means becoming aware enough to operate within these systems rather than being unconsciously governed by them. The mature woman in relationship with the archetypal feminine expands through increasing her own self-consciousness. She recognizes external influences, yet her choices increasingly arise from inner authority rather than complicit obligation.

This is the slow emergence of the mature feminine presence.

What is Sovereignty?

There comes a time in a woman’s life when something begins to reorganize from within. Often during the perimenopausal and menopausal years, many women enter a psychological territory that our culture rarely names. It is not simply a biological transition. It is the beginning of sovereignty.

A sovereign woman is whole unto herself.

She no longer organizes her life primarily around expectations, roles, or approval. Instead, she begins to recognize herself as the authority of her own life and decisions. This does not mean withdrawing from the world. A sovereign woman may be partnered or single, raising children or moving into a new chapter of life.

She increasingly trusts her own discernment about where to place her energy, how she lives, and what truly matters.

Private practice can be isolating.

I’m opening a small, confidential consultation circle for clinicians who want a reflective space to think more deeply about their work.

This is not technical supervision or case management. Instead, we will explore clinical material, countertransference, professional dilemmas, and the symbolic patterns shaping the work. The intention is to create a collegial field that honors complexity rather than rushing toward solutions.

Details:
• Maximum 8 clinicians
• Monthly 2-hour Zoom meetings
• 6-month commitment
• $150 USD per month

Start Date
Thursday, April 30
6:00 PM Eastern
3:00 PM Pacific

If this speaks to you, message me, email me, or visit the link in my bio → Linktree → Upcoming Events for details.

Only eight places are available and the circle will close once full.

In honor of International Women’s Day, I’ve been reflecting on a phase of a woman’s life that our culture rarely names.

There comes a time—often during the perimenopausal and menopausal years—when something subtle but profound begins to shift. The energies that once flowed outward into caretaking, reproduction, and responsibility begin to reorganize.

A new center of gravity forms. This is the emergence of the sovereign woman — a woman who is whole unto herself. Her identity is no longer organized around being needed, approved of, or defined by external roles.

She has spent years navigating cultural systems—family, relationships, work, expectations. Over time she becomes conscious of them. And eventually something changes again. She no longer organizes her life around those systems but instead. She begins to operate within them rather than from them.

Her authority arises from within.

Decisions come from discernment. Relationships become chosen. Her energy is guided by alignment rather than performance. The sovereign woman is not withdrawing from life. She is re-entering it from a deeper center. And when she speaks, acts, or creates from that place, there is a palpable depth to her presence.

This is the stage of life where many women quietly begin to ask: What would it mean to live from my own authority?

Over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing reflections on this phase of life and the emergence of the relationship to the sovereign feminine archetype in women, leading up to the live event with Jung Archademy on April 22 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET $17. Check the linktr.ee in the bio to sign up under “upcoming events” or use the QR code.

The two closed groups will begin at the end of April/beginning of May. Information is available through linktr.ee in the bio also under “upcoming events”or message me.
