Despite the rain, Saturday at the Marché French River Market was a wonderful reminder of just how much our community has to offer.

I had the opportunity to chat with many patrons about the upcoming Sudbury East Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament and sent quite a few flyers home. Hopefully we'll see some familiar faces out on the course in September!

I also wanted to share a few things I learned during my day at the market:

• If you're looking for plants, arrive early. The French River Agricultural Society shoppers know exactly what they're doing and don't waste any time!

• We have some incredibly talented artists and makers in Sudbury East. Every time I attend the market, I'm amazed by the creativity and craftsmanship on display. There will definitely be prizes from some of these locals!

• Nickle City Cheese is made from milk produced by local cows right here in Sudbury East. I had no idea!

• The Haskap parfaits were clearly a crowd favourite. I waited too long and missed out entirely, so I'll know better next time.

Most of all, I appreciated everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, share ideas, or take a few shots at the bucket golf challenge. Community events aren't just about promoting upcoming initiatives—they're about connecting with people, hearing their stories, and celebrating what makes our region special.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop and say hello. It was a pleasure spending the day with you, rain and all. I got to go home with a signed and gifted book for a friend, some fun wooden board games, and two T-bone steaks! I'd call it a good day!

Four years of growth, healing, learning, community, and many cups of coffee later…

In April, Little House Massage Therapy quietly celebrated 4 years in business. Somehow, between long clinic days, weather closures, illness, community events, and everything in between, the milestone passed before I had the chance to properly celebrate.

What started as a little summer project with my family for fishing and getting away - somehow turned into the Little House — and into something so much bigger (and permanent) than I ever imagined. Over the years, it has become a space for healing, connection, support, good conversations, and community care. I truly could not have built this without the incredible people who continue to support it.

Thank you to every patient who has trusted me with their care, supported this small business, shared kind words, referred friends and family, attended workshops, and continued to support Little House throughout these past four years. Your trust and encouragement have meant more than I can fully express.

This past year, especially, has been a reminder of the importance of health, balance, and community. I am incredibly grateful to continue doing the work I love and to be part of such a supportive community.

Here’s to slower mornings, healing hands, good people, and whatever Year 5 may bring.
