“It’s just too much.” “I don’t know where to start.” “I can’t deal with all of this.” We’ve likely all said things like these to ourselves at one time or another.

Feeling overwhelmed is never easy, but there are things you can try to feel more centred. If you need help with feeling overwhelmed (or anything else on your mind), you can save this post and / or reach out to someone you trust for more tips and support.

💛 Postpartum Depression & Anxiety Awareness 💛

Did you know that up to 1 in 4 parents experience sadness, depression, or anxiety after the birth of a child? This is called postpartum depression and anxiety, and it’s more common than many realize.

Signs can include persistent sadness, irritability or anger, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, and feeling overwhelmed.

You don’t have to go through it alone. Lifewise Perinatal Program offers free peer support, workshops, groups, and one-on-one sessions across Newfoundland and Labrador. Our Peer Supporters have lived experience, so they understand the unique challenges of pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

Leave your number; calls are anonymous, and a trained Peer Supporter will call you back.

Attendance is completely free. The Lifewise logo appears in the top right corner. In the bottom left corner, the graphic includes the message: “To Register Perinatal Message Line: 1-709-368-0279.
